Hi steemians, it's my pleasure to be here. I'm so excited because this is my first time posting on this community. I hope you're all doing great.

There's this saying that "punctuality is the soul of every business." This implies that punctuality runs a business or an organization.
Being punctual or punctuality is a very important part of every organization, that's why you see every organization develop certain measures to prevent people from being late and to encourage punctuality. In some places, punctual staff are usually rewarded to encourage others to be punctual as well. I'll try as much as possible to attempt the question accordingly, please keep reading.

What does punctuality mean to you?

"the fact of arriving, doing something, or happening at the expected or correct time and not late:" Source

Punctuality to me firstly, it means attitude and culture. It is being 'on time', it means being early to work, it means arriving an event before or at the exact time, it means keeping to time without failure, it means being time conscious, it means consistency in the art of time consciousness.

List and explain some importance of being punctual in life.

  • Being puctual sets you apart from others, it makes you different from others who usually go to any event or work late.
  • Punctuality makes you to be noticed and be greatly recommended.
  • It makes you accomplish your daily tasks/goals.
  • It reveals your personality that you are disciplined.
  • It makes you highly respected and valued.

What do you understand by the expression "The early bird gets the worm" and do you believe it is true?

It means that a person who is puctual achieves his/her goals, "gets the worm".
In a clear explanation from an experience. I'd gone for an interview some years back. The interview was to commence by 7am, I arrived by 6:45, a lady had arrived earlier by 6:10am while another arrived at 6:30am. We were all interviewed, then it was time for general interaction and then the CEO of the company said that we all performed well but that we were many in number, that it was difficult for him to take the right persons.
So he decided to use another method to chose from the crowd. He requested for the attendance sheet, and it was given to him. So he called out the person who first arrived at the interview venue, she was given automatic employment while the rest of us had to go through the second round of the interview.
In this scenario, she actually arrived very early and "get the worm," even though some people went there early too. But she was actually more punctual.
Do you believe in the saying? Oh yes! I believe the saying.

People say "It's better late than never". Do you agree with this and why?

I believe in this saying but not completely. This saying doesn't work in every aspect. However, I've read this several times on the social media (Facebook), precisely, how people will make a birthday post to wish someone a happy birthday and they'll use the "it's better late than never." In this scenario of sending a birthday wishes, it works well as the case maybe, but this saying cannot work out if you are going to work or if assuming it was your wedding day and the time was fixed to be 10am like mine was, and you as the bride or groom decided to be there by 12pm. At this point, the saying will be totally useless because you may find out that people have dismissed or something.
Or is it that maybe you had an examination by 8am, then you showed up by 11am? So, I don't totally agree to that saying.

In conclusion, I'll say that being punctual to any event or place of work is very important and very necessary. It's shows that you're disciplined and that you value that event or job. By God's grace, I have a good record of attending events in time and resuming my job early no matter the distance, except maybe there was an eventuality beyond my powers or I just didn't want to be there in time. Even if it were, I can't be late always, never!

I invite @realitytrend, @whoknows27 and @purrix to join the contest.

Special mention: I commend @sahmie, great job.
