Greetings to you all Steemians in steem4Nigeria, am always excited to be a participant in this Contest "My Neighborhood Watch Report",it really gladden my heart to give the situation report of the event I went to at Ediene Ikono in Akwa Ibom State Nigeria.
I appreciate @xkool24 for always commite up this kind of Contest in the community.
How ever, it is petinate to hear from every activtity or happening going on in our enveroment for records purposes.

Before continuing with the report, here are the few headlines.

• Burial of the late Chief Akpan Offing.
• Display of Masquerade
• Entertainment Of Visitors
• Closing of the Event.

It was on the 09/12/2023 that the family of latte chief Akpan Offing gave their beloved father the last respect, The was conducted by the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Ediene Ikono in Ikono Local government Area Akwa Ibom State Nigeria, This event attracted people from all works of life of whom are friends of Prof. Offong of the University of Calabar, Calabar Cross River State

It was a Celebration of live to Man who have spend 87 years here on earth.

The chief Mourner Prof. Offong appreciate God for giving his father a long time life that he even add another years from the recommended 75 years that the Bible says man should live on earth. The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Ediene Ikono thank God for the live well spent

The body of the departed soul was deposited at exactly 2pm.

Since it was a Celebration of life, the community was not left out in spirit of giving late Chief Offong a farewell display of masquerade as their chief have leave a good life while on earth. The village display Ekpo masquerade,

All the Visitors were entertained in a normal way. And every person was satisfied. The burial was one of it kind in the history of the village,it was really wonderful. Though it was not closed completely, because a lot of people were still in the mood of Celebration.
