Introduction
Fuel is the major driver of my state economy as every other states in the federation, this product is also known as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
Every motorist make use of it to drive to economy and also in running the daily activities, but public and private sector.
So in Akwa Ibom State Nigeria, it was a challenge as at yesterday Monday 22th April, 2024 that ,in the early hour of that yesterday there was a serious bottle neck affecting the state, which will be more clear in Report details.
Cause Of Fuel scarcity In Uyo
it was a shock to all travelers and business men and women in Uyo Akwa Ibom State capital Nigeria, that when the breaks, people where ready going out to their different points of duty, all of a sudden, it became an issue that where we used to pay # 200 naira was # 300 naira , and motorist find it difficult to go out for their commercial driving Businesses

The photograph shows the Neighborhood Watch Reporter @etette , waiting for a bus driver in Abak Local government Area in Akwa Ibom State , to buy fuel whereas fuel Stations in the state capital were under Lock and key.
It was confirmed that the state government ordered Fuel marketers to reduce the price of Fuel to normal pump price and the marketers association ordered immediate shot down of operation in all the Fuel station in the state.

@etette visited one of the commercial junction in Uyo metropolis, it wasn't an easy thing as commercial drivers were buying the fuel in black market price at the rate of # 1,300 , this really delayed Businesses , people were not able to pay their way to work and Even to Businesses .

Activtities were not moving smoothly as people were not comfortable to go out.
Unless you have an important thing to go which will make you spend more.
Conclusion
It is true that a time things changes, but shouldn't be beyond a lay man control.
I hereby conclude that, the Fuel marketers should also consider the suffering of the masses and adhere to the state government order of reducing the price of fuel to avoidable price.

It really marvels me when I heard of the increase in transportation.
It prompt me to question why and was told about the tanker drivers strike.
The cost of transportation was almost double and very hard to reach your destination on time due to scarcity and I ask myself where is this country heading to.
This neighborhood experience to me is a very expensive one and I pray our government do something about it.

The issue of fuel scarcity seems to be everywhere in the country and what a pity actually that the government seems not to be doing anything about it currently now. Quite disheartened
The issue of fuel scarcity is alarming. I don't know why the fuel marketers refuses to reduce the price of fuel. I am paying extra transport because of this. You really did a good job bringing up this problem. I hope everything will stabilize.

Your report is so true, the effects of fuel scarcity really hit hard on uyo, Akwa ibom on Monday, when I was ready for work and was waiting for transport, I was very angry when none shows up but getting to tie road I pity them the most, there was different rumors about what happened which causes the scarcity, but what ever happens I pray it's should be resolved as soon as possible.
My brother is everywhere oh… the price of taxi drivers in Portharcourt this past few days is scary. I’ve to switch to keke bus..
