What were you told steemit is, an online business, social media or writing platform?

Greetings everyone how are you all doing today it's a good day and also a new week hope you are all having fun so today @bossj23 has arranged a wonderful contest that is really interesting much thanks to you for your hard work.

Before joining what were you told about Steemit that moved you to join the platform?

Before joining Steemit platform that was in the year 2022 and that was same year i was introduced to cryptocurrency trading and same person also introduced me to Steemit platform and i was told that Steemit platform has been in existence since 2016 and it's a legit platform.

So when I head that I went and make some research online about Steemit platform and I saw that it's all true that Steemit is really a legit platform that's when i decided to join Steemit and now I have benefited so much on Steemit platform.

What do you tell others Steemit is ? And are you really convinced Steemit won't wrap up like other online businesses someday?

I tell people that Steemit is one of the most legit platform ever and a platform to learn different things and also meet some big investors in the platform.

And talking about Steemit I joined on April 2022 and I have been active seeing how Steemit operates so i will say that Steemit is here to stay I don't think that Steemit will wrap up like other online business Steemit is a decentralized social media platform which has been in existence since 2016 and which means that the people that built Steemit platform has a strong foundation.

Is Steemit an online business? If yes what similarities and differences are there between Steemit and other platforms. if no give reasons similarities and differences from other platforms.

To me I see Steemit as an online platform that operates on a blockchain which allows users to publish content and get rewarded in cryptocurrency for their contributions some may see it as an online business and to conclude this, Steemit is primarily a social media platform which leverages blockchain technology to reward users for their contributions so in a sense that Steemit can be seen as a unique hybrid of social media and online business.

And the Similarities between Steemit and other social media platforms is that User-generated content, like other social media platforms,
And also Steemit relies on user-generated content to drive engagement and interactions.

Steemit platform is built on blockchain technology which ensures transparency and security and also immutability of content and rewards distribution.

States 3 similarities and difference between Steemit can any social Media platform of your choice.

Let me compare Steemit with Twitter (X)

Firstly is user-generated content in both Steemit and Twitter (X) rely on user-generated content to populate their platform and users can also create posts, share updates, and then engage with others in a social media environment.

Another one is followers and following the both platforms allow users to follow other users to see their content in their feed so this helps users stay connected with different people and topics that interest them.

Next thing is hashtags the both of them use hashtags to categorize content and make it very easier for all users to discover posts related to specific topics.

Now the difference

The difference between the both is that Steemit allows users to earn cryptocurrency which is known as Steem just for creating and curating content then Twitter and the other hand does not offer any direct monetary rewards for posting so you can see the much difference.

When it comes to Steemit it operates on a decentralized blockchain platform but Twitter is a centralized social media platform owned by a single company.

In conclusion Steemit is a platform the has proven it's legitimate since it's establishment and it allows users to publish content and get rewarded in cryptocurrency and it's a platform for learning meeting top investors I will describe Steemit in one word is all about decentralization.
