Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 24: Giving and how it should be done
Greetings everyone how are you all doing today I'm so excited to be participating in this awful contest that was organized in Steem4nigeria Community so let's get started as I present my entry post.
What is your definition of "Giving"
My definition about giving but firstly there are several potential motives behind giving so let's me go straight to the point my definition to giving simply means the act of helping those in need and it's also the act of voluntarily transferring or providing something to someone without expecting anything in return.
And it's good to give because giving create positive change with the intention of making a difference or creative positive change in any place you are and again giving is also a way to express gratitude for one's own blessings.
What hould be the right motive behind giving.
The right motive behind giving firstly is giving with a genuine desire to alleviate suffering and another motive behind giving is making a positive impact giving with the motive of making a positive impact whether in the lives of anyone can be a meaningful way to contribute to the greater good.
Do you believe in giving and publicizing the act.
No I don't believe in that act giving and sharing it on the social media is very wrong and i will never do such to me I prefer to keep me act if kindness private and believe in the inherent value of giving without seeking recognition.
It doesn't make any sense to give and share it in social media while I have seen so many people showcasing what they did for someone on social media Facebook in particular my question to those that do it is "do you people gain anything at all apart from Thanks, You did well, what else.
Mention some of the ways you think the act of giving should not be done
The act of giving is generally considered positive and meaningful but this are some ways giving should not be done firstly is giving out if guilt ir obligation.
And giving with an agenda giving should come from someone of genuine kindness rather than being driven by personal gain ,and it should not be used as a way to manipulate others.
Again giving without respect for individual when giving it's important to respect the dignity of the receiver it's not supposed to be giving in a demeaning manner it's not good at all do this is the end of this post I'm inviting @josepha @ebeke and @emmy01.
