Hello my fellow steemians I welcome you all to my blog. I am @emmaboy23 a very hard working Nigerian steemians and I have come to participate in this wonderful contest which says my neighborhood watch reporting events around us.

INTRODUCTION

Our new transformer

Last year was the most terrible year in my neighborhood as we did not see light for over a year, this is because of a robbery that was carried out on our transformer. They took the most important thing in the transformer which generates light and as such we were not able to have light and the only way we had to survive was through generator. But now they have fixed it and bought new transformer all thanks to the community leader in my neighborhood.

As of about Friday I heard a news that the next community close to my neighborhood also experienced the same faith we did last year. Rumors had it that it was on a Thursday night that the thief came to hijack the thing in the transformer that brings light. I keep wondering and keep on asking myself this question how did they do it and how did they do it without anybody seeing them. This has now become one of the troubling situation happening on my neighborhood and many have now learned from it.

Another crises we face in my neighborhood is pollution. The kind of pollution I talk about is the indiscriminate dumping of refuse in gutters and on the road side. I still fail to see why Nigerian have this bad habit of dumping refuses in gutters when in turn it will only affect them. Dumping of refuse in gutters has become a habit of many Nigerians, this actions only happens in my neighborhood when there is heavy rainfall and when the rain stops you will see litters of dirt all over the street as a result of that.

This indiscriminate dumping of refuse in gutters has a lot of problem associated with it. One of the problems associated with this act is flood. You see when they carry out this act, the dirt and refuse that is thrown into the gutters prevents the waters from flowing out when there is heavy rain fall and as such the waters accumulate and result to flood.

Another problem attached to it is it breeds mosquito causing us diseases. When they dump refuse into the gutters it makes the waters to be stagnant making it a home for mosquito and causing more harm and danger to our health.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, my fellow steemians I would like for you to educate people around you who do not know about this as some may act as a result of ignorance. And I will also like for you to report to the police any who still carry on with this act not minding the consequences it brings. Please let's keep our surrounding and environment clean and healthy.

Oh, I can imagine how tough it must have been for everyone in your neighborhood without electricity for over a year. That sounds really frustrating and inconvenient. It sounds like the robbery caused a lot of trouble by taking away the important parts of the transformer that generate light. Without those parts, it's no wonder you all had to rely on generators to get by.

But it's great to hear that the situation has improved now. Thanks to the community leader in your neighborhood, they were able to fix the transformer and even buy a new one. That's a big relief, I'm sure. Having access to electricity again must feel like a huge weight off your shoulders.

I hope things continue to go smoothly and that you all can enjoy the benefits of having a functioning transformer. It's amazing how a community can come together to solve problems and make things better. Kudos to your community leader for taking the initiative and making a positive change.

It was really tough those time and it was really frustrating to add it up prices of fuel then went up, but we still survive. I thank god for our community leader. Thanks for such a valuable and wonderful comment i really appreciate.
