Welcome to my blog, its a wonderful and a pleasant day to participate in this contest titled: let's show how creative you are: drawing - crawling snail, it's a always a pleasure being in this community steem4nigeria and i will be dropping my entry below.


Snails are terrestrial slow moving land animals which have a spiral shell attached to their back. Their shell is a hard structure composed of calcium carbonate, which protects their body and their internal organs. They are different species of snails such as aquatic snails and terrestrial snails. Snails do not have legs, although they have a muscular foot which enables them move from one place to another, they move very slowly on surfaces and secretes a trail of slime while moving, it is a lubricant which they produce to allow them move on any terrain without injuring or hurting themselves. Without wasting much time I will be diving into the drawing of this intriguing animal called snail.

DRAWING OF A SNAIL

The process involved in drawing this animal is very simple and easy to follow, here is the procedures I took to achieve my drawing.

step 1

Before I began this drawing, I gathered all my materials to start this drawing such as pencil, eraser and a piece of paper. After that I then continued with my drawing by starting from its shell.

step 2

In step 2, I drew the head and it's eyes and all the parts of the head as well.

step 3

Step 3 talks about drawing the body, this is the step where I drew the body of the snail including its tail.

step 4

After drawing it's body, I then drew some details in the shell and also in the body to make it look realistic and beautiful.

step 5

After that I then outlined my work to make it look bold and clear, I then wrote my username and title to identify it was I that drew it.
