Happy new year everyone. I am grateful to be in this new year and its my pleasure to participate in thus contest titled accelerator contest week 29 happy new year.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE NEW YEAR TRADITION OR CUSTOMS

My favourite new year tradition is very popular in Nigeria. In my family before the new year arrives,we have already travelled with my cousin and relations to the village where we celebrate the new year by going to church on the 31st night which is usually called crossover night to pray to God. And at 12 am a shout of happy new year will be shouted by the members of the church. This has been a tradition my family have have retained over the years.


Another new year tradition we observe every new year is the killing of chicken. During the new year celebration a chicken is usually killed and cooked and a festival is being held where we invite friends and family to join us to celebrate the new year

DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL RESOLUTION OR GOALS FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR

Yes i do have goals for the upcoming years. One of my goal i look forward to achieving is to open a business of my own. Because of the Nigerian economy one could no longer find a good job in Nigeria ,so i pray to god everyday to help me achieve this goal.
Another goal of mine i set out this year is to become successful in this wonderful platform, and i believe that this can be achieved through hard work and consistency

HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE NEW YEARS EVE

Like i mentioned before, i go to church and pray to God on the 31st night to cross over the new year, after that fire woks are displayed in the sky to celebrate the new year.

I also celebrated the new years eve with my friends who i am glad to still see in 2024

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE CONCEPT OF "NEW YEAR NEW ME"

Personally, i find the statement overrated. Why change in a new year when in the past years you remained the same. Yes, its a new year but it doesn't mean you have to change. Most people believe this saying cause many people say it but its not just saying it but actualizing it

WHAT DO YOU WISH FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS IN THE COMING YEARS

We are in the year 2024 and i would love to congratulate those who made it. Indeed 2023 has been a difficult year and i would love to wish you guys a better year ahead , good health, success in whatsoever you do and preservation of your life.

Finally, the previous year has been a rough year for me and i would lime to believe that 2024 will be a better and a prosperous year for me and my family
