Manchester City kicks off a new premier league campaign in style
Football is back again at the food steps of different individuals who love the game. And it is going to be super stunning for all the lovers of the game.
The current raining champion, Manchester City kick the premier league in a new style. The first game of the season took off on the 12 of August in the year 2023. This game was between the underdog Burnley and Manchester City who are the visitors.
The game shows the premier league champion winning the first game in a 3:0 win over the home side Burnley. Not to forget that Burnley although have been in the premier league before is a newly promoted side.
It was good to see the raining golden boot holder find the back of the net twice in that particular game. This means that Manchester City has the quest to win the premier league four consecutive times.
It is interesting to see these players return to action a few months after becoming the second English club to have won a treble in a particular season. This is after their city rivals Manchester United.
The leading attacker for Manchester City found the back of the net twice in the first half of the game. This was followed by the Champions League match winner Rodri who netted from close range.
It was just a few minutes into the game that the virginity of the game was broken. This was done by the frontman of the visitors and having lost one of their best to injury, they continue to increase their tally through that same legend.
The game continues with the raining champions creating more opportunities and missing most of them. The home side also created some opportunities and couldn't make good use of them but they had an opportunity that look like a penalty.
The appeal for the penalty did not succeed hence the Blues capitalized on that to add the third one to make it complete in the second half.
The premier league is back again and the season has begun with incredible goals from one of the top strikers in the world. The next set of games will kick off on the 12 of August 2023. Some results and actions will be shared here.
