Marriage is a beautiful thing and for a marriage to be successful, couples have to make a lot of sacrifices to themselves to make it a successful one.

Some of these sacrifices are

• Love: This is the number one criteria for a successful marriage because when there is love, it will make the marriage journey easier. Love is meant to make the union stronger.

• Patience and Tolerance: Couples should be able to be patient and also tolerate each other respectively thereby making each other opinions important.

• Respect and Honesty: These two things are very powerful in marriage, it has the power to either keep the marriage or to destroy it.

When both couples respect and are honest with each other, it will be difficult for anything bad to come between them.

• Time: This is also very important for married couples, all couples need and deserve each other's time and this will help the union strong. etc.

How can couples improve communication in their marriage?

Couples can improve communication in their marriage by avoiding some characters that are capable of creating misunderstandings in the marriage. E.g

Avoid sifting blame: couples should always avoid shifting blame but they should learn to understand each other thereby having the ability to assume that they both have good intentions towards the progress of the family and in all ramifications.

For couples to improve their communication in their marriage, the couple must be faithful to each other thereby avoiding compromising the trust in their Union. etc

Trust is a weapon in marriage that that has a strong power to make the journey of marriage a successful and easygoing one because when someone trusts you, that person will have confidence in you in every ramification.

Trust will make both couples even partner with each other and also progress together.

How do couples navigate conflicts in a healthy way?

Couples can navigate conflicts in a healthy way in the following ways

• couples must be open-minded to each other by expressing their mind with sincerity and truthfulness, by so doing, it will attract trust between both couples.

• couples must avoid shifting blame to each other, they should always assume that they both have good intentions for each other

• couples must respect each other opinions and must learn to appreciate each other etc.

Do you consider distance between spouses and cultural differences a problem in marriage? Why?

Yes, I consider spouses and cultural differences a problem in marriage because when both couples are from different cultures, sometimes they will find it difficult to adapt to each other cultures and this can cause problems in the marriage and sometimes, the other couple is not ready to tolerate the other couple's culture. etc
