What is the weather condition in your locality and how does it affect people's Moods and activities?

The weather condition in the city of Abakaliki is a no difference but the Scotch of the full season of hammatan in this part of Africa Nigeria. It's a season everybody prepare for, ahead of time by getting ready, heavy coats to be worn because it comes with some significant characteristics which are, dryness, cold, cloud and some gentle blow of breeze from north to southern hemisphere.

It has not just ended here, in the recent past, the hammatan breeze was so significant, its intensity, cast the serious band of dust and cloud in the atmosphere, because that time, Abakaliki was not yet a modernised city as it is today, many buildings, Locally made, were often blown off and the door pulled away from the fixed position since they were all products and construction of less sophistication though the breeze used to be vere hard making surprising huge noise in the air while reck such damages.

Hammatan season in Abakaliki, those days in the interior local villages used to be prepared for, gathering firewood, making burn fires where the family gather around and receive the warmth of the fire because of the seriousness of its coldness. But Inspite of this coldness, it remained enjoyable because it's usually a season of harvest from the farm especially yam and rice which means there's food while families gather around the burn fire, the roast yam alongside for consumption.

Hammatan season was known in those days as the season which people can be most unhygienic and can't be notified due to dryness. It's time of harvest, hunters has the season to explore Bushes and hunt for both big and lower animals. The season is highly very volatile, in terms of dryness of the environmental, almost everything are combustible in a sense that a lot of local building then, used to be engulfed and raised by uncontrollable wild fire.

Today in the city of Abakaliki is of drastic different because of Modernity, environmental and social development, we could proudly say that we have mild breeze unlike before, the knowledge and wisdom of modernization is applied in building construction that even if the breeze blows hard it can not adversely affect any building.

But what currently remained the way it is from the beginning, is the characteristics of coldness, dryness leading to general leave shading, gentle breeze, dusty environment due to dust cast in the air, it's a period of harvest and in the interior village, they still hunt for animals because there, Forest are still many. But the accompanied coldness are more taken care of due to modern buildings and use of cosmetics to care for its effect on the body.

Considering how people's mood are affected, for both now and before, people's mood are changed because of coldness, dryness, dust and before, people experience the scarcity of water unlike these days were water is made available by drilling bore holes and wells. People often wore thick coats against coldness. But gathering around fire to get warmth no longer exists due to modern substitution of making and building more sophisticated and standard shelters.

Yes I like the weather it's time for harvest and because of it's smoothness on the body, where there is smooth sleeping, it's healthier season of less air or water born diseases due to dryness. Like I mentioned earlier, it's time of harvest, food and food items are cheaper in the market because of constant and surplus supply of farm produce from the villages to the town.

It's time to know who are not so lazy to take Care of there body because in this season, people's level of personal body care are exposed. For the business minded persons, use this period to stock their warehouses and make huge profits in the next season to come, and generally it's time of food harvest and storage. It's a suitable period for hosting party and celebration due to dryness where no rainfall can hinder activities.

And also like the season because I leave more healthier and safe, enjoying my sleep, and the sunshine has always been mild unlike pure dry season, it's a suitable period to erect buildings invariably is my season being building inclined, it's true, the excavation of the ground for foundation is hard but it remained the perfect time for building because there is no obstruction of rainfall.
