Contest: The Root of All Evils
Greetings everyone and welcome to my blog. There is a saying that "money is the root of all evil". How true is this statement? Am going to be elaborating on this but before i commence i would love to invite @presh07, @eunice001, @ramzani16 to participate in this contest.
The question is; is money the root of all evil? From what have come to understand about money i can boldly say that money is not the root of all evil but the love of money is. As human beings we all need money to make transactions and the desire for financial stability is not bad but, when you will do everything and anything to get it that's where the problem arises. The love of money can make a man go to any extent to get it without considering the consequences of it.
Money as really been helpful in many cases. The running of orphanage homes requires money, you could see that in this aspect money is used for benefit of people. Have also seen cases where scholarship were offered to those who could not afford tuition fees. In the aspect of Government money is used to ensure the well being of her citizens ranging from good road, good educational center and much more.
Personally i see money as a tool to achieve my goals and make a positive change. I was in a situation where i could help someone but could not because the money was not available. I see money as a great tool that can cause a positive radical change if used correctly. I have personal goals for ministry and to impact lifes that will only be possible with the aid of money.
I have personally been in a situation where people in authority made things unfair by collecting bribes from people and putting down those who could not afford it. I had this experience not too long ago, those who couldn't afford it where neglected and special attention was given to those that could afford to settle them. At a point it stirred up a fight as those of us that the injustice was done to got angry and refused to keep silence anymore it was only by the grace of God that the situation was managed. Money used as a tool for positive change is not evil, its the desire to get it by all means that results to evil. So, money is not the root of all evil but the love of money is.

A lot of things in life by the availability of money not for evil purposes but because we live in a world of commerce, offering services and receiving payment.
I would say that the popular quote of money being the root of all evil is somewhat generalised and isn't really a fact.
