Hello wonderful friend welcome to another new week of steemit engagement challenge season 12 week 6 hosted by steem4nigeria about my country,my home. This is of Essential important because everyone on Earth come from a particular country and home,it is the fact about every living thing, as such, it worth considering as a theme.

Tell us about your Home (country), a brief history, will be an added advantage.

I am from a country called Nigeria, Our motto is: Unity, Peace and progress.
Nigeria is the most respected and the most populous Black nation and one of the power House of Africans. We were under British control in 1861 and was made British colony in 1914,we as Nigerians gain Independence in 1st October 1960 and became a republic in 1963,that is the reason why we celebrate our Independence every 1st October of the year on different stadiums in our country.

We have more than 300 ethnic groups,the major and the largest ethnic groups are Yoruba,Hausas and Igbo, we have over 500 languages,and many distinct religious and regional differences,it is one of the best world culturally diverse countries. We are also blessed with mineral resources which are crude oils, clay and palm oil etc.

But currently we are in a corrupt democratic system, handle by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he is the chief executive officer of our country. Nigeria as a country constitute of 36 State and each state has a Governor and house members, some of which also contribute to corruption in the state as well as in the country.

Why do you think your country is unique? Share at least 3 points.

Nigeria is a green an fertile land for thier occupancy, l over and cherish the land, we are very good in agricultural work.

Betterland

Nigeria is very rich in art and culture,the country has produce many famous painters and sculptors. Recently there has been an interest in Nigerian culture from global pop culture celebrities such as Beyonce. Ernestly l can testify that we are rich in culture and art.

We are so unique when it comes to food. That is: We have different dishes and cuisine, so many traditional soup that cannot be found in other countries as a whole but here in our blessed land ( Nigeria). We use different spices and seasoning with unique proportion to set Nigerian dishes, some of which Hilda Bassey used during the cooking competition for such number of hours..sleepless and brake Guinness book of record this year. We have it depending on our tribes and locations.

Natural Resources: Nigerian is blessed with natural resources such as natural gases, solid mineral, crude oil. Are you away that we are the most largest oil-producing countries in Africa?.

Would you leave your country to settle in another if an opportunity shows up? Back up your answer with reasons.

My answer is capital yes,l always believe that every opportunity comes with something good.l have enjoyed my country to the best l could since birth,so if an opportunity open for me to leave my country to another l would love to do so. l also Know that traveling is education itself not even part.
The reason l said so is that,our currency is too poor, highly depreciated therefore making it hard for us to have what we long to have from other countries. We also suffer jobless apportunity in Nigeria, even some Carrier are paid mouthwatering salary unlike other some other countries in the world which contributes to increase hardship and porverty in the country. As such, lf I have opportunity to leave my country, my answer remain yes.

What areas of your home (country) would you love to see an improvement?

The first concerned is health sector on rural areas, although government have tried so well in building so many health center there but with insufficient equipments and workers. Most of the people working in this primary sector normally refers patient to teaching sectors, which is unavoidable to vulnerable thereby leading to so many lost of life.

Seconded by insecurities and corruption seems to be normal thing,l would love to see improvement on this because many people are suffering just because of this act.

I really appreciate steem4nigeria team for organizing this contests helping us to think about our home sweet home,in two ways: what we lack and what we have. The earth's rulers are imperfect 100% and that's true in every country, that is why all the countries in the world has advantage and disadvantage.
