Explain stress in your own words

In my own opinion,I see stress as a slow burning fire that has that tendency to quietly consume someone's life. Furthermore,I see
Stress as that nagging feeling of being on edge, that constant weight on your shoulders and the suffocating sense of overwhelm. I will go further to explain stress as that voice in our heads that whisper's to us saying"you are not enough" and also the physical tension that makes our body to ache.

Do you know what? Stress can be a master manipulator that makes you doubt your abilities, question your worth and makes you feel like you are loosing control, but the thing is, stress doesn't have to be the boss. For the fact that we acknowledge it's presence and taking steps manage it,we are sure to reclaim our power in the midst of chaos.

What is the best way to handle stress?

To be honest in my own opinion,I would say that handling stress is a personal thing in the sense that what works for one person might not work for another. But for me,I think it's just finding my calm in Times of chaos. I try as much as possible to step backwards and breathe deeply as I focus on the present moment.

One thing again is exercise. Exercise is a life saver,it can be a sweaty gym session, brisk walk or even some relaxing yoga. This is because moving my body helps me to clear my mind. When I talk to people, read a book and listen to music,it also help me to unwind. I know many of us don't know that sometimes, a good cry can be what we just need to shake off stress and find our selves again.

Have you been stressed up before, what caused it and what did you do?

For sure,I have been stressed up before. It happened one time ago which I have vowed not to repeat again. I remember one time that I was overwhelmed with work and my personal responsibilities. Then I had a project that the deadline is by the corner, and at the same time I was battling with a family issue. Seriously I felt like I was been pulled in a million directions and I just couldn't keep up.

Along the line,I started feeling anxious and irritable, within me I just wanted to escape from everything. But then I realized my inner self, I took a step back, breathed and reminded myself that I have handled tough situations before. What I did thereafter was to prioritize my task,I broke them down into smaller chunks and focused on one thing at a time. I did create time for self-care such as going for a walk, reading books or chatting with friends. Do you know that slowly but sure,I started to feel more in control while the stress began to melt away.

Do you think stress can solve this challenges?

Never has it been heard that stress can solve life challenges and as such,I don't believe that I would. Infact,I believe it makes things worse. Do you know that when we are stressed, our minds become cloudy and our judgement impaired. Along the line,we might make rash decisions and can also react impulsively which may lead to creation of more problems. Another thing again is that, chronic stress can take a toll on our physical and mental health which may make it harder to tackle life's challenges. So I would suggest that instead of we relying on stress,I think it's better to focus on finding healthy ways to manage our emotions and approach problems with a clear head.

What advice can you give to someone who is under stress right now

My bro!! I get it, I totally get it. I know stress can be overwhelming most times but the good news is that you are not alone. Deep down inside of you,you are stronger than you think. Take a deep breath and remind yourself that this will also pass. Seriously, it's okay to say to say no to commitments that are draining your energy so it's best for you to take sometime for you to recharge.
