Steem4nigeria Accelerator contest Week 24: Giving and how it should be done
Introduction
Good morning steemians, how are we doing?I believe everyone is great?? As we all know, the festive period is here when we get to celebrate with families and also extend to the less privileged. It's my pleasure to talk about giving and how it should be done this period.
What is your definition of "Giving"
I love the fact that the question said,my definition of giving. Well to start with, giving is an action word which means it's an act.
To me, giving can be seen as a way of showing concern and sympathy to human kind, the person to whom something was giving may not really ask for it,but out of our inner most part,we felt like reaching out. Giving is something that should be done willingly devoid of publicity.
What should be the right motive behind giving
Is there suppose to be a motive behind giving?,I don't think there should be an ulterior motive behind giving. If we give because we expect something in the end,we might get disappointed in the long run. I think a giver should give out of love and compassion.
When we give to people,we tend to;
Add value to people's life.
Show love.
Make People know that they are loved.
Giving should be done without expecting anything.
Do you believe in giving and publicizing the act.i.e sharing on social media?
Since giving is something that is done willingly without being compelled,I think it should be done without publicizing it.
But on the other hand,I don't criticize people who make their giving public, they may have their reasons for doing that. Some people publicize their giving as a way of motivating others to give but to me,I see it as a showoff.
Mention some of the ways you think the act of giving should not be done.
When giving,a person giving must not be under pressure to give. Rather give willingly.
Giving should not be made public as a way of showing off.
When giving, give your best
Give out of love and compassion.
When u intend giving, don't expect..
In conclusion, the law of giving says"the more you give of yourself without expecting a return, the more that will come back to you. When we give without expecting,it comes back to us in an unexpected ways.
