My neighborhood watch #62-Reporting Event Around Us

Greetings everyone, I am much delighted to share to you all happenings around my neighborhood. Much appreciation goes to @xkool24 for bringing on this very contest topic this week.

Here in our neighborhood things different things occur daily some which may seem dangerous while others are beneficial. In my country currently we are facing inflation where our currency doesn't really accounts for commodities anymore, you can buy goods of #20,000 in a small nylon bag. The issue of fuel price is really affecting everything in my country because its serves as a main avenue of transporting goods and services.

During the August break almost everyone went back to the farm to cultivate and grow crops. The current situation in our nations keeps people agile and effective in agricultural aspect. There's this close neighbour that venture alot in palm oil production and it's really booming alot.
Palm tree seems to be very essential and beneficial because all the parts can be used for production or something good. The fruit from palm tree can be use for oil production that's the red oil also the nuts can be fried to produce a special kind of oil too.

The stem is used as firewood while the leaves can be used for raffia item productions. It's very necessary to grow this here in my state because of the great use derived from it. My neighborhood uses this form of agriculture to survive during this hard time in my country.
So many people in my neighborhood acquire lands from land owners to plant for a certain period of time just to fight the problem of hunger and poverty. During the August break most of them went for land clearing, bush burning and land cultivation.

Farming serves as the most sure way of eradicating poverty and hunger because it's so sure of harvesting even in more quantity than what u sow. People around my neighborhood takes it so serious and it's really helping. I myself really love eating palm fruit either by boiling the fruit or drying it close to the fire. There's a clear picture that I took of a huge cassava, in deep you will reap bountifully when you plant a good seed.

Cassava here can be processed into garri which serve to be the major class of food. So many people consume garri either with soup or other food type. Garri production seems to be so hectic because of the long procedure in carrying it out which makes so many switch over to fufu production.

Here in my neighborhood there's a mill that helps in the production of palm oil which can be used for many purposes. Palm oil production is not as hectic as garri production because the time frame used in the production of palm oil can be done in a day while garri production needs longer hours for production.
My neighbours makes it so easy by working in groups which helps in the easy and fast production of palm oil.

I made a little walk down to see how it's produced and here are pictures to show. Oil production doesn't require much people, it can be done by one person because it's a step by step process. That long hard bowel with holes helps in the squeezing of the oil out from the shaft and seed easily without suffering much, before now bags was used to squeeze out the oil.

The current situation in my country as really affected the people and also help to make everyone active working so hard to survive. Thanks for going through my post, I will be here to read through yours.
