My neighborhood watch #50 Reporting event around us
Events and happenings occur almost everyday here in my neighborhood and I will sharing this particular events that affect almost everyone in the country. Much appreciation goes to the organiser and the community for making this contest topic available this very week once again.
Events and occurences can be spread or heard through the social media, rumors, gists and so many means. Today I will be sharing events that occurred here in my neighborhood via this blog.
The Nigeria economy is really facing huge issues now, making people desires to be more than the resources available. The country is suffering really from inflation and it's really causing the downfall of so many businesses and problems in different sectors of the economy.
Long before now when I do follow my mom to the market to get food items with an estimate of about #4000 in the Nigeria currency can prepare a pot of soup but currently #6000 brings a pot of soup down.
The sellers complains alot about the high cost of transportation as a result of increase in the price of fuel. Distance they paid about 500, they're now paying #1500 to reach Thier destination. This will eventually cause an increase in the price of goods and services. My thoughts are, how are the poor ones surviving? Question we all need to answer. I think they rich ones don't really feel this current situation here in the country.
Most people now prefer eating in a restaurant than spending alot of money on food items and meal preparation. People who are into large farming are totally benefiting alot now because farm produce cost more than any other thing now in the country, people don't really care about wears but they put in much of their money on what to eat for survival.
There's this particular combo we Nigerians love taking which is fufu with soup. Fufu is made from cassava which Is actually the most costly farm produce now. The size of this fufu is totally funny, the one in the picture amount to #200 which wasn't so before. We try managing alot now, making out body cope with problems of this very nature.
Are you are Nigerian? If yes ..how is the economy treating you. In all, most people now thank God for keeping them alive even without taking much food. The Nigerian government is really doing well to see measures to pull the people out from this situation.
In all we the Nigerians are happy that we can survive through even when it seems so hard for people to purchase food items, material things and so many.
Thanks for going through my post

Indeed the economic crises in Nigeria is becoming alarming and the rate of inflation is getting worse by the day. The way Nigerian survive this hard economy is by the grace of God and I pray that everything goes back to normal so that we can be able to survive and live. Thanks for the invite but I have already participated, success and good luck
My brother is the only God that will save us from the hardship in this country transportation has become so high that commodities have risen above the usual price but will we still survive what we can go for 50 nairas is now 300 naira 1,000 nairas that can give you a simple pot of soup is not possible any longer, but we are still hoping that God will make a change. Best wishes dear
