Life Lessons Learned

Greeting to you my beloved friends. It is often said, "when life throws lemons at you, you make lemonade with them and when life throws stones at you, use it to build a castle".
We often hear people say, "this life no balance". This is a very deep statement because of what they've passed through. Most times, we are always there for people and when we need them most and expect that they will also be there for us, they disappear into thin air. For this reason, people came up with the slogan, "dey for who dey for you" (be there for those who were there for you).

What's a tough situation you've been through and what did you learn from it?

Mehn......... The tough situation I've very been through was some years back. Before now, I've got a very big circle of friends until life happened to me. Initially, I thought I'm a man of the people and that because of my kind heart, that was why I have so much friends as such but I got it all wrong.

When the cash was there, I couldn't cont all my friends. But few years back when life took a hit at me, I realized I was standing alone. I tried reaching out to a few friends I thought I was very close to but all kept giving me one excuse or the other. The saddest part was the fact that the used my predicament at that moment to mock me. I wept silently and prayed for God to give me strength to over such turbulent moments..

Agter the storm was over, I had to cut all those fair weather friends off and I vowed to myself never to share my problems with people again.

What peace of advice will you give to your younger self?

To my younger self, be weary of those who laugh with you in day time, not all should be seen and regarded as friends.
Let not their smiles deceive you and never let their handshake reach arms length.

What's the most important lesson you've learned and how has the lesson changed you?

People will always use your weak point against you. Never you disclose your top secrets to people as that will be the same weapon they will use for your downfall.

What mistake taught you the most and what's the best lesson you've ever gotten?

"Dey for who dey for you". Not everyone should be seen or regarded as a friend. Choose your circle of friends wisely else, your downfall is eminent.
