What’s your opinion on the saying, “You’re addressed the way you dress”
Dressing is the act of putting on clothes it includes what we wear beginning from head to our feet.
For instance, if we dress up with dirty and torn clothes or we dress half naked, people will think you are a mad person . Also using too much make-up such as Cortez with assorted colors on our faces, and finger and foot nails with long nails, are capable of causing people to address us as” mammy water”(water goddess)or harlots. On the other hand, an wearing earing and plaiting hair may as a tomgirl and a gay. Again a lady who dresses covering all part of her body may be addressed as a firmed born again. But if you dress moderately, people will address you as a responsible person and respect you.
What’s your take on dressing moderately?
My talk on dressing moderately is simply that you should dress in a way that you look next beautifully and elegant without exposing those part of our body that ought to be covered such as your chest and lap. In other words, dress to fit how you want people to address you.
What would you say about Trend and Indecent dress outfits?
The trend and indecent dress outfit today is alarming especially among the young girls and boys who in attempt to belong, dress half naked with how do that look like a mad person’s untamed hair. Even the morned people are not left behind in these indecent dressing out fit. The current trend is to show case what you have inside of you. This is harmful to the social development of our children. This the current trend and dress outfit should be discouraged.
Have you had the opportunity to advise someone on their mode of dressing? What reaction did you get?
Yes, I had the opportunity to address a close relation on her mode of dressing. Her response was not encouraging. She said I should leave her alone and mind my business.
What is your definition of a modest dress. Is this only applicable to ladies?
A modest dress is not only applicable to ladies. Men need to also dress modestly and look responsible.
Are all fashion agreeable to you?
All fashions are not agreeable to me. Fashions that exposes what I wear inside is not agreeable to me. Fashions that reduces my self esteem and makes people see me as a harlot or irresponsible person is not agreeable to me
