Contest: Life Reflections
LIFE REFLECTIONS |
---|
GREETINGS, great steemians around the world, Happy New Prosperous year to each and every one of us.I wish you guys all the things you wish yourselves. May life favour us in ways we do not expect. I really hope we can all get to learn from each other in this wonderful platform.
Life has scarred us and sometimes the scars are so evident that we feel we can't get past them, that's when suicide feels like the only way out and people dive to it without thinking. After repeatedly considering suicide it takes only the grace of God to save us from ending it totally. At times we wish we others, we wish we had an entirely different family and daydream of living another person's life, we have all wished to be like some certain people secretly wishing to live their lives. We ruminate over our own lives and question God as to why he placed us in that position . This thinking drives people into drinking, depression, and regrets. It makes us feel worthless and we start comparing ourselves to others that we feel are in better positions than us .
Reflecting on life is a rough journey for many people as not many people have had a very smooth background, everyone has a story to tell. These reflections trigger emotions as we remember all that it took to get us in the positions that we are. Reflecting on life's journey is a journey into the past, it's can be described as the time travel of the mind. I once read a book called ogadinma and the book was about the reflection of a young girl's past, in that novel ogadinma remembered the traumas she went through in the past , sorry I can't remember the author's name . The young girl was separated from her mother at a very young age and had to grow up with her elderly father and aunt. Her very young mother fled from the home after being fed up with the constant physical abuse given to her by ogadinma's elderly father.
The young girl was sent to the city after her mother's departure and faced challenging ordeals that were really tough for a young girl of her age . The book concluded with the girl reconciling with her mother who was then married to a rich man and had a son . It is a touching book that could shake the emotions of even the most hardheaded person. The rough thorny path of the girl's life triggers the emotions of a sane person. I was really touched after reading the book. Life is a tunnel , it winds and unwinds that at some point we feel stuck and confused . We lose hope but keep trudging on even sometimes we feel like we are really close to a breakthrough only to lose it at the last seconds. The tunnel of life contains memories of each and every one of us , it contains our laughter, tears, our regrets ,pains, our secrets ,hopes, wishes, dreams, heartbreak, stages of depression, joy, happiness, it contains memories of the people we were, we are and the people we want to be.
**Have you ever felt someone is better than you are? If yes, in what aspect? ** |

YES?, in beauty , wealth, brilliance in almost everything. We always feel like we are never enough and we prefer to reflect bitterly on things we don't have instead of spending our time working on developing things we can start with. We humans overlook the simplest of things that can make us stand out of we take our time to consciously and diligently nurture instead we love shortcuts. We all hope to wake up in bed one day living in the paradise we envision. Many are still waiting for miracles to happen instead of working towards creating and building that dream. True we all hope for miracles but a plant cannot germinate if it is not first of all planted in the ground. It's us to push first , our future relies on our pushing and determination.
Mention 3 personalities or features of your life you don't like and would love to change |

Well that's not so hard ; they are procrastinating , laziness, and stepping out of my comfort zone just to please someone that doesn't give a fuck about my feelings. I could even go on but following the instruction I guess the list ends here.
Do you think it's healthy thinking or reflecting on your Imperfections and mistakes? |

No I don't think so . Thinking endangers an individual and makes us prone to different health problems such as high BP, migraine. It makes us reflect on the regrets of the past that cannot be changed and blocks us from seeing ways out . It makes us feel worthless like our whole life was a waste , it doesn't create paths for ideas of ways to create the life we would love to have. That question HAD I KNOWN will block us from focusing on the correction to the errors . Reflecting keeps us stagnant and makes us feel worthless and might lead to people considering suicide cause they feel like there is no hope at all again. But also I would say reflecting fuels the desire to create a new and better but we have to get past the scars to work on the errors and it takes loved ones, friends, family, peers, children, and everything that keeps us from drowning, EC that keeps us fighting for the life we know we deserve, everything theat fuels the desire to keep floating . Life is either sink or swim and we would need all the help we can get to make the right choice.
If you were given an opportunity by God to change your looks, would you or you'll maintain?
No I wouldn't. I have come to appreciate me for who I am , it wasn't easy but we have got to make a decision, life drops us off at crossroads without sometimes giving us a chance to think or even breath. Everyone has to grow up at some point even if we keep on wishing to be kids just living with the flow of life not caring about anything in the world apart from food or play and every other stuff that seems fun to a child.
I'm really pleased to be part of this platform where I can really be myself and pour out my deepest truest opinions on things. They say the truth seems easy until it is time to explain it but here we have the go ahead, the listening ears that keep encouraging us on who we can be and the future we can create for ourselves.
Thank you for reading my posts

Hey good morning I read your post and I became motivated and I love how you accept yourself the way you are .The story you shared is really inspiring and motivating, the trials the girl passed through is really touching,i am getting inspired by your write up.
Estimada amiga.
