Hi friends, I am here again to present to us my entry. Children are gifts from God though biologically created through us (Man). This is one natural belief that has its waves in the minds of many, irrespective of religion.

It shouldn't be in our place to make choices since they are gifts from God, but as humans, we have been found wanting to make preferences on them. Sometimes, we align this choice with some of our cultures and norms that exist in us.

Boy or girl child, which do you think is more expensive to train? Give your reasons

Girls are the most expensive to train. Girls naturally, are naturally weaker vessels and hence require extra care both monetarily and attention. They require extra hygiene level, unlike the boys, to keep them at optimum level.

When they attend puberty, this also entails that extra care for this stage is considered especially during their menstrual cycle. The funding at this stage for the period now becomes a new normal monthly.

Their clothing is more expensive and prone to frequent replacement to keep them afloat with their peers. This comes down to the overall looks and upkeep required to maintain them optimally.

They are also prone to security threats from their immediate society and hence require extra effort and unbudgeted welfare to keep them in check. This also means more resources have been allocated to the gender.

Due to their slow nature in learning and the need to skew resources to suit them, there are more resources injected to achieve a stable learning channel for them.

If you were to be a parent today, which gender would you prefer to have as your children? Give us your reasons

I prefer both. The problem we have mostly is created by us. They may be self-inflicted or from religious or cultural affiliations. Self-inflicted, in this case, is when we align our preference to the one we don't have. In a family where they only have boys, they would get bothered by the opposite.

This also happens when they are girls. We have this ancestral belief that every home should have a male child who would succeed him. This now mounts pressure in the home when there is a delay in that gender. It happens to be the most present gender to have.

During adolescence, which gender shows tendencies to go out of control? Why

The male child usually shows more signals to go out of control. This may be seen in the girl child but is predominantly common in the girl child. The girls are more of the home personality. Wanting to get engaged in chores and other domestic affairs.

This is not the same for the male child. They have more freedom to associate than the girl child. Just as required, for safety and avoidance of abuse, the girl child is more of found mostly in the confines of the home.

Since the male child is predominantly allowed to mingle more, they tend to meet other persons who easily corrupt them and put them under pressure to cope with the good and bad.

What do you think about the statement; "what a boy can do, a girl can do better"?

This is a gender equality anthem to consciously drive confidence and courage in the girl child. They need to be treated equally and find comfort while carrying out a given task. The girl child may be slow in discharging its duties, but one thing is sacrosanct; she will attend to it correctly at the end.
