The present condition of the country has inflicted pains on the citizens and this is seen from the inflationary rate of almost all items in the market. This has been a source of concern to many and hence worry if this situation would ever go away. At some quarters, it seems as if the government is paying a deaf ear to our complaints, but must have to survive at all costs. Let's get to know more about worrying...

What does it mean to worry and is it bad to do so?

As humans, it is only natural that we worry no matter how we try to ignore or suppress it. Like the scenario I created above, it calls for worry as survival now entails making extra efforts to keep going in life.

I will not say that worrying is bad but we have to apply moderation in all we do so as not to be injurious to us. We have to know when to stop and bother less as most times, worry does not solve the problem but rather spike it or make it more difficult to handle.

We have to reduce worrying as this man's 3nemt qt all times. It is about depression, mood swings, sadness, and other complicated health challenges including high blood pressure. In all of this, we should think of how to make those things that worry us simply by bringing solutions to them.

Does worry solve problems? If yes, why? If no, why?

Worrying has never solved any problem but instead creates more problems for us. What solves problems is creating solutions instead of worrying. We have to be careful in everything because while we over-worry ourselves, we may create some health challenges that are inimical and threatening to our lives.

For example, the issue of developing high blood pressure. When we worry ourselves and do not handle situations by bringing them under control, they can damage us.

Highlight 3 causes of worrying and 3 consequences of worrying.
  • On Health Grounds:

This is when we have health challenges and as humans, it bothers us especially when we can't get medical attention or respond to treatment as required. It calls for a serious state of worry.

  • **On Economic/Financial Situation: **

When we are unable to handle economic and financial situations as a person. This is usually one cause of worrying among people. The economic situation due to the current country's inflation has put more pressure on financial capabilities and hence this state of mind.

  • Because of the Unknown and Future:

Though the scriptures have reiterated that "it should give us this day, our daily bread". A situation where we should worry about the day's affairs but it is human to worry about the uncertainty of tomorrow and the future.

The Consequences of worrying may include;

  • Health breakdown
  • Instability of emotions and state of the mind
  • Poor thinking and decision-making during this state.
  • Leads to drug and substance abuse

State 4 solutions to avoid worrying too much
  1. Be content with what we have at present. This is one virtue that should allow us to excel and overcome the troubles of worrying. In whatever we have, we should be contented.

  2. Living within our means. Mimicking or trying to live the lives of others isn't an ideal thing to do. We should be able to live within our limits and stop thriving or competing unnecessarily. In doing so, we worry less about frivolous things and frivolity.

  3. Be intentional about our health. Each time a situation of worrying comes up, we should be able to remember its correlation with our health status and try as much as possible to relegate it behind. We have to know that inability to do this may result in health breakdown.

  4. Be positive-minded at all times and take things the way it is by going back and making good decisions thereafter by proffering better solutions in handling tasks. We have to solution base other than a self-pity base while handling situations.

I believe this is my personal opinion on this topic and I'm sure I was able to impact someone. Worrying does not help but rather inimical to us. Let's continue to stay positive.
