"Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 16: "Chemical Vs Natural products "

Hi dear steem4nigeria community, this is a nice contest presentation for the week. I was able to make time to it my view on it as well. When this is mentioned, there is no doubt that more women will participate given that they are more exposed to this than the opposite gender. The women are more cosmetic-inclined and beauty-aligned than the male gender who pays less attention to those areas. And this is the area that attracts more of the topics on the table.

Describe your view on the use of the two products.

Both products have continued to serve their purposes to humans despite the merits and demerits associated with them. They are more of human's transactional products that are interacted with. Not only that they available in the open space, but there are talks on how they have helped serve human needs at various levels.

Since the government has allowed both products to thrive in the open market, we cannot despite the fact that they become useful to humans at various levels. Chemical products have continued to be domineering at all levels which are also seen to be prolific in price and availability, unlike the natural products. For example, the use of cosmetics products in the beauty industry has become an acceptable new normal where it has come to stay.

It has continued to outweigh the existence of its natural counterpart. Recently, we have seen the development of natural beauty products coming on board to match the chemical ones that are already in full gear and selling everywhere. Though the perception of this natural is welcomed, but is relatively not affordable to many. They are of economic sizes with high prices, unlike the chemically produced products that are in surplus and cheaper prices.

I believe that awareness of the advantages and disadvantages of both should be weighed before individuals can make their own decisions on which side to follow. I am a fan of naturals, also known as TEAM-NATURALS.

What is your opinion on the eradication of chemical products?

I believe that this is primarily the role of government to make policies that undermine the use of chemically produced items that are problematic to human use in the long run. In nigeria, the umbrella body in charge of the regulation of food and drugs (NAFDAC) needs to play a supervisory and enforcement role in removing such harmful products from the public domain.

In doing so, there should be awareness in this regard, People should be aware of the danger associated with the use of chemical products and possible naturally available products as alternatives for them. This is because just putting up polices may not only help but making them aware of the dangers in the long-run use is also important.

Despite the disadvantages. Do you think the two are important in our lives?

They have continued to be important since their perennial existence with humans. They have played a role in the availability of our needed products at all times, the low pricing also associated with them has been helpful. Especially that of chemical products, which have continued to fit in more for human use.

Natural products, just as its name have continued to bring nature close to us in all of its products. Consuming or using them just as nature presented them to us makes them more useful and impactful than when it is proceeded or altered. In the use of food, so many are switching from processed or canned foods to more naturally gotten foods. They believe that natural foods have less chemical intake with all ingredients found in the natural forms.

Have you had any personal experience with both products?

As a lady, I have been a user of processed products, be it processed food, canned foods, or other beauty products. For the food we eat, we all know the impacts on us but for me, I do not need to wait until I have some terminal ailments before I quit. The present-day cancers and other prevalent ailments are a result of the deviation seen from nature.

What about the beauty products that most ladies who relax their hair use? This is one thing going natural has earned me. Since I found my way out from chemical products. I have never left the use of naturally produced hair kits from start to finish. I have not used chemical products like relaxers and co for hairdos. I have natural products that allow me to maintain my hair like every virgin hair out there void of the use of chemical relaxers.
