My Calling by @chilaw

Happy Sunday to all my lovelies here. It is another first Sunday of the month. A time we usually reflect and as well take communion to hold on to the month as our Christian faith demands. I want to thank the boss lady @okere-blessing for this contest topic.

We at different times entered into endeavours we do not have control over or were persuaded to join maybe due to availability sake. For instance, so many of us went to school and studied courses we never wanted because our parents wanted this or that course for us. Just be attentive as I engage us here.

How well can someone discover his/her calling?

When we finally enter into these endeavours we never wanted or go through programs under parental guidance, which aren't what we wanted for ourselves, It most times affects us and our productivity, which is a function of our financial capacity. It keeps making us wagle in a cycle without tenable progress.

Situations like this help us discover our calling. At this point of running around in a cycle without any progress, this will give us room to either quit or look for alternatives to better our conditions. Most times, this alternative now happens to be the calling we never knew.

Situations tend to bring out the calling we never anticipated we had. We only knew that we were best in them when we decided to try them out. We just have to leave our comfort zone to actualize this fit, or less, we will continue in our course blindly.

Those in the spiritual realm, are supposed to trance and revelation to join the ministry. I may not know how much to explain this but they are seemingly using this word, I am called which means they are asked to leave whatever ever are doing either completely or partially to join the ministration.

Do you think some people have multiple callings in life more than others

I am uncertain about this. People may not necessarily have more than one calling, but one thing have seen them to have more is progressing more than the other in their callings. Since.we already know that all fingers are not equal, some are more equal than others, and this is also applicable to the issue of calling.

Therefore, multiple calling is the case.but how successful our calling could fetch us. Multiple calling can not be able ass it looks like it is one becoming a jack of all trades and master of none.

Have you discovered your calling

It is one thing to discover one's calling and another to venture into this calling. I think I've discovered mine, but having the capacity to go into it is lacking. I did develop the passion to go into it about 8 years ago.

However, I've been doing some little knowledge consultation on it to improve myself so as not to be found wanting when finally I start up.

Do you think people are more successful when they discover their calling

Discovering one's calling is not a yardstick for becoming more successful. However, there are cases where it is a channel for more financial prosperity. But. There are other cases where it is passion regardless of the financial income it attracts.

To some, it is a long avenue to becoming more successful than what they were originally doing, and to others, it is not as their decision may be passion-driven. So the success of anyone does not clinch their calling.

What are your fears about your calling?

Some of the observed fears of one's calling may centre on the courage to take the bold step. Leaving what one is doing and knowing fully well that the new place of assignment is your true calling, but the bravery and courage required to move aren't there.

The financial preparedness required to start up the new phase of life isn't there. Some callings require the individual to put money into their newest phase of the assignment before kick-starting. This may be another hindrance or limitation that goes for our fears.

Conclusion

We must start early to discover what our callings are. For those who missed theirs earlier out of parental hold, it is important they also make alternative arrangements to plan themselves back to their calling or gradually connect to that while still doing other activities.
