Good morning everybody and welcome to my blog again. After a long long time without posting, today I resume from where I stopped, and starting with #steem4nigeria will make the ride smooth for me. I'll be glad to drop my participation on this contest titled "my steemit promotion items."

1. Introduction on promoting steemit.com

Promoting a site is a very challenging task, most especially in my country Nigeria. It a process that requires your time, effort, and dedication. You have to combine these strategies, so you can so you can get a good number of people convinced that what you're promoting is valid.

However, what makes this easier is the fact that this promotion involves steemit.com. A platform where one doesn't need to use all the promotion strategies in order to convince a prospect but just show off of some testimonies. In this contest, I will try my best in explaining my promotion aids and how it has helped me get lots of users on board.

2. What are the promotional aids you use to promote the steemit platform?

Promoting steemit.com was the things I love doing. I took it as my responsibility to always enlighten people on how the platform works and how they can spend good amount of their time here posting and making good rewards in the end.
Steemit as we all know is a social media platform that allows users to create and curate content, and get rewarded for their contributions in cryptocurrency. With this text above, I was able to explain more in brief to my friends. Promoting Steemit to my friends was the easiest of all because these people know what I can do and how I introduce only genuine platforms to them.

Here are some of the aids I used then.
Even though I haven't been active for a very long time, I was able to use this aids to help people join on board.

• Social media promotion aid (Using the online flyers I created with the PicsArt app): I love the internet, it's a very important place if you want to promote anything at all. This is where you reach a large number of people within short period of time. Effective and cost less. I know what it means to convince people on a good platform, but steemit ease the work for me. I make most of my promotios on WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram using my posts, steemit pictures and my online flyers. These are some of my promotional posts then.

I use most of my contest posts to gain viewers online on Facebook and Instagram. My Instagram was hacked I would've gotten more photos and contents I shared there

• One on one promotion: I have spoken to lots of guys one-on-one on how to go about on steemit.com. I go online to promote steemit and give them full explanation.

While doing the promotion, most of what I do tell my prospect are;

• Content Creation: First think I ask these people is; Can you write good content? If their answers are yes... then I proceed. My next question will be; how about I introduce you to a platform where you do what you love doing and get rewarded for it in cryptocurrency? With this, they pay close attention to here my full explanations.

Steemit allows us to create and share good and unique contents on different topics, from politics and economics to music and art. You can also write about any other topic, but just be sure you're giving both quality and originality. When you create high-quality content, you can attract an audience and earn rewards in the form of Steem, the platform's cryptocurrency.

• Community-driven: Just as I've said earlier, I give detailed informations in my writings, this includes my one-on-one conversation.

I try to explain steemit as a DECENTRALIZED social media platform. Saying this will let them understand that the platform is owned and operated by it users. If they don't understand, I explain in bits. This creates a community-driven environment that encourages engagements and creativity.

• Cryptocurrency (exchange to Fiat): One thing everybody loves is explaining how to redeem your coins, but first, I let them understand that steem, the cryptocurrency used on Steemit, can be exchanged for other cryptocurrencies or fiat money. With this, users can earn real value for their contributions to the platform.

I don't also forget to tell them to invest in the platform in the form of powering up. Staking some good amount of the steem will grow their reputation and increase their audibility.

• Security: I remember my first days on steemit.com. I thought since everyone can see my wallet and know how much it's worths, then someone might be tempted to hack my account. Yeah, not withstanding, an individual account can be hacked but on one condition; that's if you share your keys to another person. Ordinarily, your steemit account is as secured as anything secured.

This platform uses blockchain technology to ensure the security and integrity of the platform. So with this, it will be very difficult for bad operators or hackers to manipulate the content, rewards or accounts on the system.

• I love sharing my own experience on the platform too: I've been using Steemit and have had a positive experience, so I use this to relate to my experience with my friends or prospects. I always talk about how I've been able to earn cryptocurrency by creating quality content, and how you've enjoyed being part of the platform.

• Who doesn't like help? I always offer to help them get started: I have had lots of friends that are interested in trying out Steemit but are not certain how to get started, what I do is offer to help them set up an account and get started.
  I Walk them through the process and answer any questions they may have.

When promoting steemit to my friends, I always emphasize on the benefits of the platform, such as the ability to earn rewards for creating quality content and the decentralized community-driven environment. That's why I love this method.

I also love being transparent and honest about my own experiences and to highlight the benefits of the platform to all the persons I've spoken about steemit to. It's not everyone that may be interested in joining Steemit, so I don't put effort to be too much pushy and convincing. Instead, I offer my support and help them make a good decision about whether or not to join the platform, and yeah, they always wanna join.

So far, this method was my best method since I had to spend little, though I wish I have some support so I can do a better and more promotional methods on steemit.

3. How did you get the promotional aid, was it a gift or you bought it, how much is the cost in your local currency as well as its equivalent in steem?

My promotional aids were cost free. I made my flyers myself, just with the PicsArt app. Though I planned on printing them out and making stickers with it before my phone got stolen and left me out of steemit for more than a year.

Three things that aids my promotions on steemit are

• My phone; where most of the work is done
• The app I use (PicsArt)
• The flyers I designed

I can go all day distributing my flyers only and in my friends DMs.

My aids are online, but it goes a long way getting to lots of people and promoting this platform. I will also need to do something much more bigger than this.

I have invited lots of persons, I just can't be specific. Some I know their usernames while some I don't know. These are some of the people I've invited which I know. @adebayosefiu12, @lilbiz_yl @offia66 and @wesley11

6. What more do you need to help promote steemit in your area aside from the promotional aids you have already? Tell us about it.

I'm currently in a location where people are not acquainted with these things. I will need more aids to help me promote this platform to the level I wish.

These are some of the things I will need to help me promote steemit in my locality.

1. Host a Steemit workshop: I would love to host a steem workshop with a group of people were interested to join, including some of my friends who wants to learn more about steemit. This workshop or session will help me pass vital information to these group of persons, and it will be very very effective.

2. Needing a big banner: secondly, I will need a banner which will help me speak for steemit. With this banner, I don't need to do more or much talking. People who are really interested will get a pictorial information or visual information about the platform even before coming to me for more explanations.

3. Lastly, a time table bulletin: The last on my list will be making a timetable bulletin. As a student in a tertiary institution, I can tell how people, lots of students loves to make use of timetable bulletins. Now I'm making this bulletin with the steemit logo on it and some brief explanation to enable the person using it try to go through it someday. I will also put my number on the bulletin so in case they need more explanations. This will go a long way promoting steemit and also bringing more members for more engagements.

In Conclusion, promoting Steemit involves using various channels and aids to increase visibility and attract users to the platform, which will in turn help to grow the community, increase engagements, earn rewards, and build good audience. Whether you use social media, blogging, video content, banners, Steemit meetups, paid advertising, email marketing, or other promotion tools, the key is to create quality content that is relevant and useful to your audience, and to also keep the site clean.
