And I want to use this medium to appreciate @steem4Nigeria, for putting on with this beautiful contest which has been the lifestyle of most people in the world nowadays. Sit back and relax as I air out my view on the subject matter at hand.

In my own opinion, the answer to this question is No. This is because, social media is a platform where different categories of people are involved. In social media, there are haters of good things, lovers of good things, so if we expose our daily lives on social people are liable to view it and you don't know who is for you or against you, that can envy your success and use it for your downfall.

Some people on social medias are spy, some of them will have you as a friend but do not chat with you, they are just there to monitor every of your post on every social media platforms so that they can hinder the good things coming your way out of jealousy.

Moreover, social media was created to connect with loved ones, and also to advertise products and make buying and selling as well as life easy to live.

🐞HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED OR SEEN ANY CASE WHERE A PERSON HAS THE HABIT OF SHOWCASING HIS LIFE ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE EFFECT TURN OUT WELL?

Yes, I have seen a person has the habit of showcasing her life on social media but the effect did not turn out well. Also yes I've seen someone showcase her life on a social media and the effect turned out well.

As the case the be, two of them. One of them is a very close person to me and the other, a friend to my sister.
The person very close to me has the habit showcasing the food and every of her activities on social media. Little did she know that someone was monitoring every of her post on social media. One day, someone confronted her on her way to her fiance's house, and told her that she is busy showcasing herself on social media with her crush, and that she would do anything possible to make sure, that her relationship with her fiance will be jeopardized.

She taught it was a joke, as the person played her way into her fiance's life and everything they shared and built together was destroyed. This is the harm showcasing oneself and activities on social media can cause.

The second person which is a friend to my sister got engaged, and she brought it to social media. Everybody saw and knew she was engaged, thereafter, she post every of their outings and engagement on social media. Everyone was expecting to see a wedding invitation card from them, but guess what! The man left after she had showcased them on social media and got married to someone else, leaving the lady shattered.

Another bad experience from someone I know, I believe these stories I have shared should teach us a great lesson not to showcase our lives on social media.

On the other hand, yes I am an online vendor. I'm into selling of fabrics and I advertise it online which was the essence of social media platforms. I can say most of my customers and friends from social media platforms. But I don't expose my activities on social media, because I know it's not everyone that is happy with my new development in life.

Definitely, not all the showcase on social media are true, some people live fake lifestyles as they want to command respect or gain admiration from people. Some of them do this just to dine and wine with the mighty, as the world only acknowledge people of their class these day.

While some do it for their own selfish reasons, to make other people feel low self-esteem.

I feel safe with my information on Steemit , because steemit is a platform created for serious minded people and is business oriented. Random people with no sense of business orientation can survive here.

And every hands are on deck to achieve their goals, and not to monitor someones life here. Steemit is a platform that has placed food on so many people's table. It has exposed me in particular to be a creative writer and also help sort some bills.

Steemit has made me Independent and I appreciate everyone that has made this platform come to an existence. I pray this platform continues to grow amen.
