Before joining, what were you told about steemit that moved you to join the platform?

Before I joined I was told that steemit is a place where my horizons will be broadened. Where I will be financially free with writing. The interesting part was that I was looking for how to make money, I mean I want to have a double streams of income and then I saw the ad on Facebook and I decided to join. And since I joined it has been nothing short of blessings. Although I've not be active for sometimes because I was going about my wedding plans which was a success.

I was introduced to this platform by bossj and when I joined with other newbie it was all fun. We where more close to each other even though we don't know each other. We do classes on WhatsApp every weekend and that is the best part of being in that mentorship group. Steemit is a platform that is filled with talents and I have learned alot been a stteemian and I'm ready to even learn more hence.

What do you tell others steemit is? And are you really convinced steemit won't wrap up like other online businesses someday?

According to research, steemit is a decentralised platform and it can not crash. Steemit is not a gamble platform where you bring 1k to collect 2k. Steemit is on blockchain technology that rewards users for creating contents and it cannot be hacked and it is controlled by individuals. I have never doubted trust steemit will be the future savour we need to let people know about how much we are and have been blessed by this platforms.

If you are waiting for steeemit to wrap up like MMM then you go wait tire because this is a life time opportunity that has been provided for us youths, stay at home mom's, bachelors and everyone. According to what I have seen being a stteemian, the Steemit team seems to be dedicated to constantly improving the platform and expanding its features. They've recently launched Steemhunt, a product discovery platform built on top of Steemit, which shows that they're continuing to innovate and add value for users. So I'm very optimistic about the platform and I'm looking forward to steemit changing more lives.

Yes, steemit is an online platform but itt has some key differences from other platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. One of the biggest difference between other platforms and steemit is that it is powered by blockchain technology which allows for decentralised control. Another difference is that they reward users with crypto currency like steem coin for their activities on platform. Every users have control over their content and data. Another difference is that steemit does not need need ad for people to view user's contents.

On steemit users can upvote and down vote contents and the more votes users contents receive more steem power it earn.

Then the similarities between steemit and other platforms are:
1: Both involves creating contents.
2: Earning on other platforms involves going live, posting original videos and receiving stars while on steemit earning involves voting.
3: They allow users to create groups and mange groups.
4: Tthey both allow users to customise profile.

• Steemit and Facebook are heavily reliant on user-generated content. But steemit users are more conscious of AI generated contents than Facebook.
