DIY: how to make a Dodecahedron

Hello, steemians welcome to my blog, it's a great privilege for me to participate in this "Do It Yourself" DIY: Context competition of this wonderful community. Honestly, I'm inspired by the zealousness of every single participant in the community at large. well, without no further ado, I'll like to share steps by step method on how to make a dodecahedron shape. The dodecahedron is regarded as a regular solid bounded by faces, Each of the faces is none a pentagon.

THE NAME "DODECAHEDRON" HAS GREEK ROOTS.
Time to make the dad from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" smile. "Dodecahedron" comes from the Greek words "dodeka" and "hedra," which mean "12" and "seat or base," respectively.

"EDGES" AND "VERTICES".

"Edges" are a no-brainer; they're the lines where two of the polygons (squares, triangles, etc.) where the polyhedron meet. Also known as the Vertices or "vertexes", are those points at which three or more faces converge. Every dodecahedron with identical faces will have 30 edges and 20 vertices.


MATERIALS NEEDED FOR CONSTRUCTION DODECAHEDRON

👉PAPER.
👉PENCIL.
👉 ERRASER
👉ADJUSTABLE SET SQUARE,
👉MINUTES HOT GUM.

STEP: 1. drawing of the dodecahedron's first 5 sides with an equal dimension of 5 centimeters.

STEP: 2. Adjust the set square at the right angle to produce the next pentagon shape.

STEP: 3. mirror the same drawing with the same dimensions.

STEP: 4. cutting off the pentagon shapes.

STEP: 5. folding of the pentagon shapes to form dodecahedron.
