"Learn With Steem Contest: How To Cook Delicious Okro soup

Greetings to everyone in Steem4nigeria community. Today, we are going to look at how to cook delicious Okro soup. I know you are a very good cook but because of this week contest, you can as well make a spy on how the method I will use in teaching about this soup. Thanks to @fredquantum for organizing this contest.

Okro is a super source of vitamin A, rich in vitamin C and high in fiber which helps to promote growth.

Okro play a role in the system by helping to strengthen our body immunity, acting against the harmful free radicals in our body system. It's great for your digestion, skin health, strengthen of bones, heart and vision. It may also help in supporting pregnancy in female.

Going to the ingredients, that will also play a vital role to keep the body function properly, we have;

  • Stock fish, Beef meat, DryFish, Okro, Mbukpa-uyo, Edusa leaf

  • Ikpa, Crayfish,Red oil, Snail,periwinkle, seasoning cube, Onion, Salt, Pepper.

Let begin

  • First thing is to wash your meat, add seasoning cube, pepper, salt, onions and then stir it, cover the pot, light the gas and put the pot on fire.

  • As the meat is still on fire, wash your stock fish, fish, periwinkle, snail, and set aside.

  • Wash the okro and Edusa leaf, slice and keep aside.

  • After 20minute, check on the meat if it is tender and skimmer. Add small water, stock fish and fish to cook for another 30 minutes.

  • Add the periwinkle and the snail, stirred and allow it to cook for 10minute. Below is our stock.

  • After 10minute, remove the snail and keep aside then bring down the stock.

Cooking proper

  • Heat another separate pot on fire, add red oil and allow it for only 40seconds.

  • Add some slice Onion on the oil, add the mbukpa-uyo and stir. Add the okro, stir them together to mix properly.

  • After few seconds,

  • add small stock water and stir again.

You can make a test but it will be tasteless from here, so you will add another season cube(1), pitch of salt, small crayfish, stir and allow it for 20minute.

  • Then add all the pot of stock, stir and allow it for 2minute, the aroma is everywhere.

Finally, add the snail, the remaining crayfish and the slice Edusa leaf, stir, taste if everything is ok, wait for few seconds and bring down the soup from fire.

Our delicious Okro soup is ready.

You can enjoy this soup with your desire swallow, but if you want to test your appetite level, you can try this soup with 5 cups of white rice with a glass of chill water. I know you will like to get a taste of it.🤗

Hi, the soup looks different than my ordinary soups in Morocco.
