My Diary Game|| [16-01-2024] || Cleaning the Environment and Cooking a Delicious Afang Soup 🍲

Dear Diary,

Indeed As the sun peeked through my window narrowly, I warmly embraced the morning with my usual devotion from on set, so seeking solace in the quiet moments of prayer with God Almighty. With a heart filled with tranquility, I then ventured into the day, so much ready to conquer whatever challenges lay ahead of me.

My morning Routine:

• The very first task at hand was to clearly tidy up my compound. So Armed with a broom and determination in me, I did swept away the remnants of monday, truly clearing the path for a fresh start. And However, an unexpected hurdle emerged in, I'll say my kitchen was barren, so devoid of the essential ingredients needed to cook a hearty meal for breakfast.

With my dear patience as my companion, I did waited until 9 am when the market so came to life with all his goodies. Hastily here, I famously embarked on a journey to procure the necessary foodstuffs to what I can accommodate, indeed eager to transform them into a delectable meal immediately. My mind here was set on preparing the most sumptuous Afang soup, a dynamic dish that would tantalize the taste buds and warm my soul.

At The Market:

• The market did bustled with activity as I carefully selected fresh Afang leaves here, water leaves, kpomo, periwinkles, stockfish, and an array of essential ingredients for my cooking. Well Laden with my culinary treasures, I returned home immediately, ready to embark well on my desired gastronomic adventure.

My Food Preparation:
Indeed my Preparation began with meticulous care. Each leaf here was meticulously wash till cleaned and sliced, the amazing rhythmic pounding of the mortar turning the afang into the perfect texture was stressing but I somehow find pleasure doing it.

My Afternoon:

Then With the afternoon sun casting its warm glow, I continued, seasoning the seafood and then setting it aside, the aroma of the ingredients tantalizing my senses already.

At this point The sizzle of oil in the pan marked the commencement of the next phase immediately.

My Water leaves were gently fried, their vibrant green color intensifying too. Then proceed to cooking, and the harmonious blend of my ingredients came together, so much creating a symphony of flavors. Then finally The addition of the Afang leaves crowned the dish, infusing it with their distinctive taste wish pleases me.

The unique culmination of my efforts was indeed a mouthwatering delicacy not bragging, this was a testament to the artistry of home cooking. To add it all, I prepared a serving of Garri to help accompany the soup 🍲.

My Evening:

After much works and spending time cooking, Fatigue eventually set in, and I so succumbed to a brief respite, so allowing the evening to envelop me in its tranquility well. However, as the night realm approached, I rallied once more, intensely dashing to school for a night of intensive study, eager to always seize the opportunities that awaited me in academics and beyond.

• As I reflect on this day anytime, I am reminded of the beauty found in the simple moment here. A day filled with culinary triumphs and as well an unyielding pursuit of knowledge in general.
