Steem4Nigeria Weekly Contest - The Instabilities in my Country by @badmus-official
Hello everyone, how are you doing ? I welcome you all once again to Steem4Nigeria contest, where i get to share with you the Instability in my country.
I am from Nigeria and it is of no news that things has been occurring lately in it's financial aspect , and there has been a lot of higher crime rate lately, and there is insecurity and a lot of atrocities going on around the country. On this article today, I will be sharing you a review of a lot of things that has been unstable in my country lately.
My country has been in a bad State for a while now, has there has been a lot of insecurity, bad politics, and also corruption is diving in day by day,my country since the past few days has been a lot of bad states, and there has been large number of terrorism threats even to the presidents , regarding security, there has been a lot of abductions amongst students , and Nigeria has been suffering a lot which I believe all faults came from the bad governance.
Nigeria lacks a lot in terms of military equipment , and also the militarys has not been helping it's security states for a while now, since my past experience of traveling within the country location to location,I see how bad the securities are to the state where by for a country that is not safe and yet still have less security safeguarding it, this proves that the government do not have the public interest at heart, because despite all the abduction and the kidnappings, the government still yet to provide adequate security to the point where every checkpoint should be equiped, but surprisingly despite the pressure of the country the government has not tried or made any adjustments to get things better.
The country level of corruption is alarming as in the case where we see top government officials embezzling country assets, which in this case they get suspended from their job and that's all, no
severe punishment, some of this government officials are moving away with billions of naira and the only punishment they get is been eliminated from their jobs, this just shows how poor the current states of the country is.
Security Issue - just like I have explained earlier, Nigeria has been suffering greatly in terms of security as there has been a lot of abduction here and there , kidnappings and also robbery. This gotten bad to the point where people rub in the daylight now and this is happening due to the low level of security in the country.
About a month ago there was a tragic that happened in one of the Nigeria States (ondo state) where terrorists storm in a church and kill a lot people who were worshipping both adults and kids, this is a very great tragic moment in the country as these show's that the security is bad enough, surprisingly this same state is still facing same issue of insecurity up to this moment where I have seen in the news that terrorists stormed the state once again and this is only happening due to the low level security in the country.
Corruption - Ever since the beginning, most African countries have been suffering with corruption, most especially in the top officials in the government , corruption is well deep in Nigeria that it is very difficult to to wave through to the point where everybody see it as a normal, when you meet government officials aspirants and ask them why they are going to politics, they will tell you the awesome to get their own fair share of the deal , and this has been going over and over where everybody believes politics is to embezzle and move the country funds.
Financial Issues - Nigeria has been suffering in Greatly in its financial aspect, Nigeria is one of the country with a larger resources but as of lately the value of crude oil as risen x3 , and this was causing a lot of downfall to most Nigeria stock market and also only couple of days back there were some issues to the conversion rate of Nigerian currency to dollar where we saw the dollar price moved from 590 NGN to 700 NGN in the time space of one week, this is a tragedy as the government official says it is caused due to the fact that Nigeria is no longer generating any money into the country, which was what causes the naira to spike against dollar and this affect most Nigerian citizen whereby the price of importing goods is getting expensive and the inflation rising by day.
Yes, I believe there are some things that could be done to make a positive change in the country, just like I have said earlier, the country lacks a lot when it's comes to security, corruption and as well bad governance. I believe there are ways which this could be avoided and the country could be in a stable position which is assuming the government's are willing to do what is right and they are willing to take the certain measures to make the country better again.
Firstly, it would have been great if we could have honest officials in the government office, though we know that there's nothing like an honest politician, but at least there could be a good politician in the sense whereby the country could vote who we believe to have the country interest in their mind and who is willing to take all measures to see that the country is once better again.
Secondly, the country tighten up its security level in the sense whereby we should try and recruit more youth to join the Nigeria army or any of the paramilitary force, which in this case the country doesn't get to lack in the military for protection and also all states could aspire to bring up their own vigilantes like we could see in some States like Oyo state that has the it's all vigilante, whereby all local security could attend to the locals issues before the interference of the police or any of the government security bodies.
The most important way to see the country better again is to eliminate corruption in the country, and this starts from each household whereby when we saw what is not right, it's better to report as quickly as possible and let it be known to the outsiders when you caught someone cheating, you shouldn't let go of them but rather report to the government and this should make the necessary punishment for all individuals and again any government officials that sort of embezzle the country funds should serve some jail time, I believe when there's a severe punishment then people would attempt to commit crime less.
Here comes my conclusion on the topic the instability of my country, where i have discussed about security, corruption, and as well bad governance that the country is currently facing, I know for a fact that no country is perfect but regardless there are some certain measures that each country took to reduce their crime rate.
There are several ways that we could make Nigeria to be better and this start by individual voting for the right candidates and avoiding bribes during election period.

A very lovely post you have up there @badmus-official. For me, the part of your post that caught my attention is the section that discusses the issues that need to be addressed in our country. I must say the first issue you mentioned simply depicts the order of urgency. Insecurity is obviously the chiefest of these issues.
No one wants to live a place where lives and property are not safe. No investor in his right senses would invest huge sum of money in an environment that is not safe. Security is pivotal to the efficiency of any society. In fact, the cord that binds the different segments of the society together to make them work together is security. The fact that the problem of insecurity has lingered for many years almost indicate a situation of hopelessness just that we have to keep hope alive. The irony is: even the government we look up to for help also needs help. The very last stride of hope we have is in God; trusting and waiting for His intervention.
May God rescue our country from the mess she finds herself. Amen.

Today the world is managed as a puppet because they suffer greatly from Kasandra's syndrome.
