Accelerator Contest Week 5: My Life Mistakes and How I Intend to Correct Them
Hello friends,
Welcome to my post, in which I have discussed my life mistakes and how I intend to correct them. I was so impressed when I came across the contest, which you are now reading through my own entry.
What are the mistakes you think you have made since you were born?
As it is said in the contest, no one is perfect as we are all human beings, which means we can easily make mistakes. During my childhood and up until this moment of my life, I have made so many mistakes that sometimes I cry over the mistakes.
To cut a long story short, below are some of the mistakes that I have made since I was born.
- A mistake of disobedience to my parents
- Mistake of not taking my academics seriously during secondary school
- Mistake of not learning a handwork untimely
- Mistake of not growing up in the village where I would have learned how to speak my native language very well. Etc.
Do you think it is your past mistakes that are affecting your growth in life?
No, I don't think it is my past mistakes that are affecting my growth in life because I am too young for such mistakes to affect my growth in life. What I mean by too young is that none of my mistakes have been a hindrance to my growth in life.
The only way my mistakes had affected my growth in life was the day that I went to my village, Bekwarra, to register for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and the day I went to the local government secretary to get my birth certificate and state of origin certificate. At the time I went home to do these two things, I was asked to say what brought in my native language, which I was unable to speak, which made them treat me like a half-caste. I.e foreigner.
Do you always blame people or yourself for making mistakes, as no one can be perfect?
No, I don't always blame people or myself for making mistakes since nobody is perfect. The only thing that I usually do when someone makes a mistake is to get provoked at the particular moment when the mistake happens.
After I have finished provoking, the next thing that I do is encourage the person to move on with his or her life. I do tell people not to let their mistakes overshadow them.
Share some tips for overcoming mistakes, both physically and virtually.
Well, I don't have many tips for overcoming mistakes, both physically and virtually, other than the ones given below.
Before making decisions in life, always think of both the positive and negative impacts of your actions.
Don't be too quick to judge someone or conclude on an issue.
Always approach people with a soft voice and heart, and never complain or try to put blame on someone.
Always be ready to accept your mistake and take correction immediately.
Thank you all for reading through my post. Am inviting: @m-fdo, @bela90, and @yhudy.
Weldone!!
Thank you ma.
One of the things I have also learnt in life is to accept my mistakes.
If you always take responsibility of your mistakes and never shift blames, you will do things better next time.
Nice input.
Best regards
We learn from making mistakes which is also what I believe. Thank you for reading my post.
Judging someone quickly are mistakes many of us make in life. I hope you learnt a valuable lesson from your mistake of disobedience
This is very educating.
Thanks for sharing this.
Meanwhile, thanks for the invite.
Yes it is good to always accept ones mistakes instead of putting blames on people. That is the best way to come out of any mistake.
