Dear diary📑

"Hello Arch Daniel, i want to start up that project i told you about". The long awaited call finally entered my cell phone, that was my client calling. He planned on setting up a new mansion for his dear mum, and he choosed me as his design plug. Well, he didn't make the wrong choice because i gave him exactly what will fit into his land, and his mum was in love with the interior and exterior of the proposed building.

Today is my first day at the new site and as well a frazelled one. It wouldn't have been so stressful as said, but it's because of...... Get to know about my day in words and pictures, and why my first day at the site was frazelled👇🏾.

My Work Diary

Waking up this morning to be among the living was the first joy i got, secondly, knowing that I'll going to the site for the new project is what brought great happiness to my heart. As my normal daily routine, i got up from bed by 6am, brush my teeth, say my prayers and examine the scriptures. I called my co-worker to meet me up at the big junction so we could take bike together which will be less expensive to the site.

The boy got me angry because I waited for him for more than one hour, this wasn't my plan. Well, i had to wait for him because the site is far and he doesn't know the location. While waiting for him, i bought akara and bread worth 500 naira which is equivalent to 1.3 steem. After one hour and some minutes, he arrived with his working tools, then we headed to the location.

I forgot to buy pure water and i didn't mind, it was when i finished the big bread and akara that i realised that water was very crucial. I was choked, so i quickly rush to the nearby poultry farm to drink from their tap. The building with a red roof is the poultry farm I'm heading to, i was satisfied and relieved after drinking the water for 1 minutes like a cow who hasn't drank for days.

I was strong and ready for today's task, so we resumed. Like i said earlier, today's work shouldn't have been so frazzled but because of the bricklayer i employed to do inside pegging for me yesterday, he did rubbish, collected my 4man his pay and left. So today's task was to correct his errors and recruit labours for casting so that tomorrow we'll start laying blocks.

I trusted my colleague's capability so i handed over the range, plum and the tape for him to handle the work, while i watch him display his talent. We finished the work within 3 hours, we cleared people's doubt, seeing me so young they thought i won't be able to overcome such task, it's what i learnt and it's what I'll display.

The work was completed and ready to be casted, i called the bike man to come with the cement of which he did. The men were at work trying to show their strength and power. I waited for them to complete the portion of the uncasted area to avoid issues with my client. The intense heat made me sweat like a Christmas goat, so i walked down with my colleague to where the drum of water is to pour some on my face and drink some.

IMG_20240410_110313_506.jpgI felt refreshed and brand new after drinking and pouring some on my face.

It's time to go get some rest and Prepare for the big task tomorrow which is laying of blocks. We waited for more than 30 minutes without seeing a bike man that could take us to the junction. After waiting for close to an hour, a bike man approached with a lady at the back. We stopped him and bargained on the price, though the distance was far. He charged us 800 naira which is equivalent to 2 steem.

The akara and bread i ate in the morning expired inside my stomach and hunger came knocking. I called my siblings at home to know if there's food for me, atleast I'm not a lazy man, but they said no food. I had no money on me after settling the bike man, so i went to the nearby POS kiosk to withdraw some money, i bought moi moi worth 500 naira which is equivalent to 1.3 steem.

I used the moi moi to sip garri at home and i slept peacefully, i woke-up by 5:30pm to write a dairy about my day at work.

You must have really had a great time at the construction site. Trust me it has really been a while I ate that combination of bread and akara and I really want to take it 🥺. How was your experience at the construction site

My brother my experience at the construction site was awesome. I was relieved after correcting the error my meson did yesterday, though i almost gave up because of thirst, the poultry farm helped me through and gave me strength to complete today's task. About the combination 😂, why haven't you try it again, it's my best in the morning especially with pap.
