The Diary Game || 08-01-25 || Day 1 Of Circuit Week: Declaring The Goodnews🕊️
I am honored and humbled to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses, boldly proclaiming God's magnificent works. This week, our circuit overseer visited our congregation to join us in field service and provide spiritual guidance to the congregation and pioneers. Today, Wednesday, marked the commencement of our evangelism efforts, and I would like to share a brief account of our experience in the field service.
This morning, I woke up filled with joy and anticipation, remembering that I would be joining our circuit overseer in today's field service. I began my day at 6:00 a.m. with family worship, studying the scriptures together. Afterward, I had a simple breakfast consisting of two slices of yam, followed by a refreshing bath and getting dressed. Then, I headed to the Kingdom Hall to receive instructions from the circuit overseer on effective door-to-door ministry and engaging householders in meaningful conversations.

The circuit overseer's instructions were invaluable, as they equipped us to effectively engage with individuals in our community who often display arrogance. We received guidance on how to approach such persons and overcome our own fears during the preaching work. We were then divided into 5 groups, each consisting of 5 to 6 pairs, and collectively prayed for God's spirit to guide us.

After receiving our assigned territory, we set out as a group. I was paired with a 25-year-old sister who proved to be an excellent companion. Her ability to use relatable examples to illustrate God's message was truly impressive. We visited several homes and were thankful to encounter individuals who were receptive and willing to listen to our message.

Our first visit was to a home just a short distance from the Kingdom Hall. We were warmly received by a woman and her two children, who all gathered to listen to our message. My companion delivered the discourse while I assisted by reading relevant scriptures. I was impressed by the woman's attentiveness and engagement. Before departing, we left her with a thought-provoking question to ponder until our next visit and gifted her with a copy of the Awake! magazine.

Leaving the woman and her children, we encountered an elderly lady sitting sadly in front of her home, where she sells plantains and pumpkins. We decided to visit her, and she warmly welcomed us. Considering her gender, I gave my companion the opportunity to share the message with her, and she did so with sensitivity and compassion.

Upon meeting her, the elderly lady shared her struggles with a swollen and painful leg, expressing her despair about ever walking again. We took the opportunity to comfort her with a reassuring scripture from the Bible, which promises that the lame will leap like a deer (Isaiah 35:6). Her face lit up with hope as she listened intently, believing every word. My companion and I were overjoyed to see her faith lifted, knowing that Jehovah, the source of this message, was also pleased.

As we left the elderly lady's home, feeling uplifted by her renewed hope, we reunited with our fellow brothers and sisters from our group. While waiting for the other groups to arrive before heading to our Bible study, I suggested we capture the joyful moment with a group photo and selfie. Everyone's faces lit up with smiles, reflecting the happiness that comes from sharing in the rewarding work of spreading God's message. I felt grateful for the day's experiences, acknowledging that God's spirit had guided us to individuals with open hearts and receptive minds.

As I headed out to visit my Bible students, I made a brief stop to check in on my elderly friend, who was still sitting by the cart in the territory. I spent a few moments with her, offering words of encouragement to continue her hard work. With a sense of fulfillment, I bid her farewell and continued on my way with my companion to conduct our Bible study. And so, the first day of our circuit week campaign came to a close. I look forward to another day of proclaiming the good news tomorrow. Goodnight☪️
