Few people sleep at night while most people spend their night on social media. I call social media another planet because it's a large space for interaction. Just like anything else, social media has a good and bad side effects depending on how we approach it. This is an amazing contest organized by @steem4nigeria and I'm happy to be among the participants. Let's talk social!

Do you support that our daily lives should be put up on social media all the time?

Even one of the most popular content creator/comedian in Nigeria (Sabinus) doesn't put his daily life on social media all the time. So I'll say NO i don't support that, with reasons. I have a little story to tell which makes me not to support putting our daily lives in social media always.

Mr Charles that was kidnapped

There's one wealthy man by name Charles who lived in my area. He was so wealthy but at the same time very greedy and stingy, the community youths didn't like him in any aspect because of his stinginess. He had a beautiful wife and 2 kids, both of them were using the most expensive phone by that time iPhone 13promax. The youths in the community only knew about his external life, when going to work amd coming back with family.

After some months, this man started showcasing himself and family on social everyday of his life. Showing how he's enjoying delicious meal with his family, spraying money on his kids when they were dancing and numerous activities that can attract enviness. The community youths watched all these on his social media handle and they were furious. Guess their next step? The planned a kidnap and they succeeded collecting the man 50 million naira.

He didn't spend up to 2 days there because he had tripple of the money. You may wonder if he knows who was behind the kidnap. He didn't know and he didn't care to investigate because he knew he was the cause of that incident. He blamed himself for what happened and stopped showcasing himself on social media always. So this small story simply shows that showcasing ourselves or our daily lives all the time isn't good.

Have you ever experienced or seen any case where a person has the habit of showcasing his life on social media and the effects turned out well?

I have seen, and it turned out well. I want to talk about one of the Nigerian popular skitmaker Cater Efe aka Machala. This guy wanted fame by all means that's why he's been showcasing himself everyday on social media, hopefully it turned out well because he's now popular and many people love watching his skits. He started by using white towel or whie boxers to dance and be posting it everyday.

When he started showcasing himself on social media(screenshot from YouTube)

He created series of videos and showcasing himself, like his everyday activities and mostly going live on social media. When he started he didn't get the attention he needed, but due to consistently showcasing himself on social media making him active cleared the path to his success. He showcased himself all the time on social media because he knew what he wanted and he's got it.

Do you think all the showcase on social media are true?

My Facebook friend working as a labourer, picture taken from my phone

All the showcase on social media are not true. I have one Facebook friend that do showcase himself everyday wearing expensive outfits, taking pictures outside different mall each day and using an iPhone. I was like "wow this one em papa wealth don cover am", little did i know that it was a fake life. I found this boy last week working as a labourer in my neighbourhood, when he saw me he ran then later came out. It was so funny so i took him a picture unknownily. Omo this life ehh😂.

I feel safe uploading my information here on Steemit. I'm feeling that way because of what i raed about Steemit platform. This social media platform don't troll you because of what you create as contents, instead we learn and help newbies to become professional content creators. Unlike other social media where a content creator or artist will be trolling one another all because one knows better than the other. Steemit is built on steem block chain so i'm 100% sure that my information is safe here on Steemit.

CONCLUSION

Social media is a money making machine at the same time money retrieving machine. Many people got scammed hugely from social media while most people find their path of wealth through social media. We all should approach social media with caution and we'll see the good side of it.

I'll like to invite @mesola @bossj23 @sduttaskitchen to participate in this contest.

¡Saludos amigo!🤗
