Rural and urban places have their unique and perculiar differences such as:

  • Rural places are known to be under developed with no good roads, no electricity or good health care centers or modern social amenities and facilities that makes life better while urban places have more of good roads, social amenities such as good housing facilities, electricity and also good medical facilities.

  • Rural areas are less densely populated this may be due to the fact that there seem to be major migration of individuals from this less developed places to the more developed places like the cities while the urban places have more dense population.

  • The urban areas are prone to more pollution than the rural places which have reduced population due to the minimal industrialization going on in them. Air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution and land pollution are common problems of the urban areas.

I grew up in an urban area even though my parents told me I was born in the village but we later relocated after I was a year old. So I grew up with my parents after their relocation and ever since then I’ve lived in the urban area. I schooled in an urban area for both my primary, secondary and even universities. I visit my village once in a while which is a rural area as I just came in from the village last week for a celebration my brother held.

If I was asked to go to the area I didn’t grow up from I would depending on the scenario. As a matter of fact I have lived in different places where I didn’t grow up from and even presently I have relocated to another city which I didn’t grow up from too. I can actually abase and abound given the situation.

I grew up in an urban place and have lived in the city all my life hence I have basically almost everything available in the different cities where I have lived these things like good roads, good water supply, medical facilities are available and there’s also electricity.

In conclusion both the urban and rural area have their advantages and one should make do with where they see themselves while aspiring for a better place. I invite my friends @ceendy20, @jovita30 and @ruthjoe to participate. Your comments are welcomed.

Hello, hope your day is going well.Youu are right that rural areas don't have good roads or healthcare while cities do.

Cities are busier and more polluted due to industry. You grew up in the city but visit the village sometimes. If you had to move, you'd adjust.

City life offers conveniences like good roads and healthcare. Both city and rural areas have good and bad sides, and it's important to find where you feel happy., really enjoyed reading your blog wish you success 💖😊.

Thanks for dropping by. Best regards
