Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 24: Giving and how it should be done

I am delighted to participate in this contest hosting in steem4Nigeria community, as people always says the person who give never lack. Helping less privilege people must be our priority because they hardly feeds their family to survival.

Through this contest we will learn about important of helping people in our society and some of the benefits that attach to it. Today I will like to discuss on the above topic which title: Giving and how it should be done.

Giving is the act of helping individuals especially disadvantage people without expecting any things in returns, God is the only one who can returns the favor of people who donate gifts, money and others valuable items.

A person who give to the members of society contribute his or her quota for community development. Giving create mutual relationship, enhance friendship and also build trust between givers and receivers.

Both Islam and Christianity view the word "giving" as helping the people during difficult period particularly in a situation we are in Nigeria where many people suffered during economic hardship. The philanthropist assist as many people as possible by giving a helping hand to the people who find it difficult to support their family.

Who God blessed in our society have helps individuals to live their normal life in order to easily move away from poverty, people donate gifts to show love or appreciate for what person have done for him in the past or recently.

A person who give of what he have automatically his wealth will continue to flourish, husband buy gifts for his wife during their wedding anniversary to show sign of love and long time relationship that bring happiness and joy into the family.

Some people willingly support one another by visiting orphanage center and donate eatable items like bags of rice, cartoon of Indomie, blankets etc. During birthday celebration celebrants receive various kind of gifts from friend and family for another years he or she added.

I against this act and it's very common in our society, in fact it as become something that has been normalize, some of these social media network include Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp. Facebook is not a secret place again once you post your achievement everyone will be aware and they will start to develop hatred towards you.

We must keep it secret and not publicizing it on any social media network so that third party will not be aware. A person who involve in this act are consider as an arrogance person who want the world to know the numbers of people he or she have help so far.

If set of this people they assist financially or materially mistakenly see their name or picture on the social media they may feel embarrass because it's a shameful act.

Giver should keep the secret without telling anyone, that's he should not broadcast it in the surrounding till people will know the secret behind the success of a person.

The receiver should not depend on the giver alone, anytime he or she need assistance he must have alternative means for his or her safety. Although it is not easy hardwork and success come to those who wait.

Any little helps will render as a giver we must not post it on any social media because some rich men use it to gain popularity.

Conclusion

Giving is very important and it reduce poverty in our environment, we must continue giving of what we have because the person we helps today may assist us tomorrow. I will like to invite @suboohi @ninapenda, @sualeha and @adunni to participate.
