SEC15 WK1: "Life on Social Media"

It's my pleasure to participate in another engagement challenge of season 15 week 1 organising in the steem4Nigeria community, social media network is a platform where we connect with our loved one and other people in all over the world. Social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have large number of users who posted their activities with the aim to attracts attention of people.

Do you support that our daily lives should be put up on social media all the time?

Social media network is not a privacy platform any longer, in fact all our data and pictures we posted will been seen by everyone including people who envy our success. Some users have adopt the habit of posting their daily activities, they may see it as normal things but is abnormal to others because am not a typical person who gain pleasure from posting.

Some evil people can easily catch us by knowing all our secret through the information we provided about our self and our family, so I do not support the idea of posting on a daily basis except if you are business owner you can use social media platform to promote your product so that it can reach large number of users.

Have you ever experienced or seen any case where a person has the habit of showcasing his life on social media and the effects turned out well?

I have seen people who usually posted on social media and the result usually come out negatively and it even damage the reputation of such individuals who lives fake life on social media, users who follow them may think they came from rich family, if they later find out the truth people may started to abuse them with some foul language.

This particular user may have different followers who they do not knows type of job they engage into. Some of them are kidnappers, arm robbers and banditry. Once they kidnap such person they may demand ransom from the family.

Academic distraction will also occur because he or she will not be able to concentrate on their study, time management is not on their side, time they need to study for test or examination are using it on social media which may eventually affect their academy activities in school.

Do you think all the showcase on social media are true?

Not all of them are true, some people use social media to celebrate their achievement such as birthday celebration, house warming, graduation ceremony etc. While others use social media only for spreading fake news so that it can cause chaos within the society.

Some users borrow their friends cloth, took picture with them so as to gain more followers, like and comments on any things they post. Scammers use social media particularly Facebook to create fake business pages where buyers fall victims on the fake things they posted online.

Do you feel safe on steemit with your information? What can you say about steemit

All of our information and pictures are save in this platform, steemit is an application built with blockchain technology where every users are rewarded for publishing quality post. I have better hope towards this platform because all our information are automatically save and secure.

Users who save their password can easily access their account anytime without any difficulty, since steemit is decentralized blockchain I control and write any information by my self without third party involvement, posting on their platform with my own idea is what help me to continue my journey in this platform.

I love steemit, all the steemians I knows in different communities mature enough and some of them often motivate me to keep on grow in steemit. I never regretted of being a steemians because I like how I share my beautiful moment with others. We gain experience from article we write and I don't think that will affect our safety in steemit.
