You have written an interesting piece. I kind of understand why your dad is a bit overprotective but I wish he believes in you some more to know how to take care of yourself.

Without friends you might be limited. But I want you to give it some time. He might come around. If he doesn't, keep mingling with the right people and making the right decisions.
