Th Diary Game 28/08/2022 : How I spent my Sunday / Children's Anniversary Thanksgiving service/ Viewing the WWTBAM Show
Children Anniversary Thanksgiving
Hello friends😊
Sunday, 28th August,2022 was indeed a great day, full of excitement and thanksgiving to God. I had a great time at church today.
Service started with the workers prayer as usual by 7.30am. After which we had the one-hour Sunday school from 8am-9am.
It was the Children Anniversary Thanksgiving service, themed "Children are a Heritage from the Lord"(Psalms 127:3). Therefore the children anchored the service from praises to message, with the coordination of their teachers.

The children anchored series of interesting sessions. Besides praise and worship, the children did Bible recitations. It was amazing seeing little children of 3-5 years reciting memory verses. These were the pre-elementary category. The lower and upper elementary categories also did their bible recitations.
Special ministrations, eulogizing of God Almighty in traditional language ( Yoruba), short drama and a couple of others. Prayer session and message followed. An older child gave the message on "Children are a Heritage from the Lord", parents are responsible to bring their children up in the way of the Lord as instructed in Proverbs 22:6.

The service ended with thanksgiving and refreshments (food packed in takeaways)were served to all. Children had their own packages alongside food and drinks.

After service, as the youth of the church, we celebrated the youth leader for her birthday. It was same day. We had cake and drinks. It was fun.

Returned home late in the afternoon, had Jollof rice for lunch and took some sleep.
Later in the evening, I had yam and beans for dinner while I joined the popular Nigeria TV Game Show @9pm on ONTV channel: " Who wants to be a millionaire? (WWTBAM)" hosted by Frank Edoho. It's really educative and fun too. I have been a regular viewer of this program for more than a decade.
The Host
There are many things I didn't know before , courtesy of the program,I learnt a good number of things, example what a group of ferrets(business) , entrance hall or open area of a building used by public(foyer), tallest mountain from base to peak (Mauna Kea)
It was first launched in 2004 and continued through 2017 when it ended. Fully sponsored by MTN back then. Now, it was relaunched this year March 2022, same host but different sponsor: the Payarena, Payattitude, and HopePS Bank companies under the UP Group.
We find the program very educative , my brother and I , even mum watches with us. Selected Contestants have 15 questions to answer correctly to win the brand prize of 20 million naira. For every correct question answered correctly, a prize is won and this keep increasing as contestant answers questions correctly.
first contestant on hot seat
At any point the contestant cannot give correct answer and has exhausted all 3 lifelines, he can choose to walk away with the prize attained. Cause if he choose a wrong answer, his prize will fall down to the previous guaranteed prize which is usually lower. For example from 250k prize down to 30k guaranteed prize if he failed the question and didn't choose to walk away with the 250k at hand.

Besides the test of knowledge on diverse areas, the program also tests your ability to think critically and take calculated risks.
I recommend this program to every young person, students, undergraduates, graduates, working class people. You can learn and as well earn a fortune if you contest. Every Nigerian of 18 years and above is eligible to contest as long as you meet the criteria.
It was quite an exciting day for me.
