SEC WK2 : The language in my country

Assalamu Alaikum, I hope you all are doing well and enjoying your life. First of all, I am grateful to The Steemit team for giving us a new week and a new engagement to write and share our thoughts. Thanks to Steem4Nigeria Community for this beautiful contest. Let's share our thoughts on this topic.
What is the name of your country? How many languages can be found in your country? |

I belong to Pakistan and Pakistan is famous in the world because of its culture and its geography. Pakistan is a country where there are people belonging to different races, nationalities and languages. There are people from different cultures and tribes, so different languages are spoken here.
Each province has its own language. More than ten languages are spoken in Punjab, the same is the case in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. More than ten languages are spoken in Karachi alone. 12 languages are spoken in Gilgit-Baltistan.
More than 40 languages are spoken throughout Pakistan, such as Urdu, Punjabi, Saraiki ,pottery, Pashto, Sindhi, Blouchi, Brahui, Hazaragi, kohistani, Hindko, Khowar etc. And Urdu is the national language of Pakistan and English is the official language of Pakistan. Urdu is the most widely spoken, understood, written and read language in Pakistan.

As I mentioned earlier, there are people belonging to different colors, races, religions and cultures in Pakistan, so almost all different languages are spoken in each region. So. I live in Punjab, grew up, and studied there. I speak Punjabi at home. But my education, transactions, reading and writing, watching news, movies, plays and listening to songs are all in Urdu.
The first language I learned from my home and from my mother is Punjabi. We have different varieties of Punjabi language in Punjab. Different dialects of Punjabi are spoken in different regions. So I love the Saraiki accent in Punjabi very much. As I did a Master's in English Literature, I also speak English. So in total, I am familiar with three languages.

How has this language improved/helped your life and business? |

It is easier for a person to write, learn, speak and sing in their own language. I try to learn and understand other languages of the world besides my mother tongue. Languages are also an important means of connecting people with each other. Yes, language has helped me a lot in my day-to-day activities if I talk from childhood till now. First of all, I speak Punjabi, which is the first language I learned, whatever my first friend became.
Communicating at home and meeting and dealing with basic necessities are all possible because of the Punjabi language. The Punjabi language has helped me to understand my culture and connect with people around me.
And after that, if I talk about Urdu, all my studies till now have been possible because of the Urdu language and because of Urdu, I could understand my nation. Therefore, language is always helpful to man and because of language, man can do everything.

Yes, I am willing to teach these languages to my children because language is a means of communication between human beings. So I believe that a person should learn a new language. I must teach my children these three languages that I have. For me, the importance of these three languages is very high.
There are various reasons for this and as Punjabi is our mother tongue and, if we want to live in this society, it is very important to learn Punjabi, so to keep connected with our people and region, I taught Punjabi to my children. Urdu is our national language, so it is important to learn it for the education and training of the children and third one is English which is also important.
It is not important that which language is spoken by more people in the world, but it is important that which language contains modern knowledge, which language is compatible with modernity, so the language spoken by the most people in the world is Mandarin. which is spoken in China, French comes second and English comes third.
But the objective facts are contrary to this fact. In fact, the English language has the most knowledge at this time. English is the most compatible with modernity at this time. Therefore, according to me, it is important to learn the English language as well.
