I'm sure you have your reasons. And they must be valid ones!
In our society and religion, we are taught to be compassionate and humble towards our parents. However, I have witnessed cases where parents themselves are the cause of their children's destruction. Physical, emotional, and other forms of abuse are inflicted by such individuals. No, they should not be connected with - as in ever.
