It seems to me that everything is much simpler. I think the sheep was just sitting on a rainbow :)

Agriculture, especially animal husbandry, is a very complex activity, associated with a lot of unpredictable problems. I am interested in how you would rate your sheep farm. Is it somewhat profitable?

In general, I am proud of people who do something like this. It is much easier to buy something and then sell it. But it does not make such a contribution to the economy.

The seat on the rainbow is a pretty imagination... :-)

Yes, agriculture is very complex and depends on so many factors, some of which are beyond your control. Especially with a small farm (Oh, there has been so much "farmer death" just lately, it's a real disaster) you have to bring a lot of idealism and really want to do what you do.

No, as you can see the farm was not profitable. Funnily enough, at a time that broke the back of a lot of small businesses in other industries, we were doing very well: Covid lockdowns. People couldn't travel, couldn't go out, sometimes didn't even know where to spend their money - if they still had any. Handmade sheep's cheese from the small organic farm "next door" was very, very much in demand.
Now everything has become more expensive: People save and sheep's cheese is one of the "luxury goods" that you can do without. And also for us feed (grain) and energy for production have become so expensive. Without significant sales practically unaffordable.
Okay, it's much more complex than that, but that's going too far here.
