Crypto Stamps! Briefmarke goes digital... Deu/Eng

endlich ist es soweit. Bereits 2019 brachte die Post Österreich die ersteCrypto Briefmarke auf den Markt. Mit einer Auflage von 150.000 Stück und gestaffelten Auflagen für die verschiedene möglichen Farben war die Serie innerhalb kürzester Zeit ausverkauft. Und die Preise auf dem Zweitmarkt gingen durch die Decke. Für eine Crypto Stamp 1.0 in der Farbe rot mit einer Auflage von nur 1.500 Stück musste man relativ schnell 10.000 € auf den Tisch legen. Und wie im Kino zieht ein erfolgreicher Start natürlich weitere Sequels nach sich. So erschienen bisher noch die Cryptostamp 2.0, 3.0 und aktuell nun 3.1. Ich selbst habe jeweils ein Motiv jeder Serie außer der 1.0, leider nur in der häufigsten Farbe schwarz. Aber auch hier bin ich mir sicher, dass die Preise in den nächsten Jahren steigen werden.
Und nun hat auch die Post Schweiz ihr eigenes Crypto Stamp Projekt gestartet. Am 25.11. kommt die erste Swiss Crypto Stamp zum Preis von 8,90 Franken auf den Markt. Auflage 175.000 Stück mit 13 verschiedenen Motiven. Je nach Motiv variieren die Auflagen zwischen 65.000 und 50 Stück. Wohl dem der eine der 50er Auflage ergattert! Ich würde wetten, dass dies eine gute Wertanlage sein wird. Aber wir werden sehen. Ich werde zumindest versuchen zum Ausgabetag ein paar Stück online zu ordern. Mal schauen ob ich Glück habe. Als alter Briefmarkensammler aus Jugendtagen finde ich das Thema der Crypto Stamps extrem spannend und werde in jedem Fall dabei bleiben und ein paar sammeln. Vielleicht gibt es ja eine Renaissance des Briefmarken Sammelns? Wer weiß, die Klamotten aus den 80ern sind ja auch gerade wieder stark im Kommen. Die Zeit wird es zeigen.

finally the time has come. Already in 2019, the Austrian Post launched the first crypto stamp on the market. With an edition of 150,000 pieces and staggered editions for the different possible colors, the series was sold out within a very short time. And prices on the secondary market went through the roof. For a Crypto Stamp 1.0 in the color red with a print run of only 1,500 pieces, one had to put 10,000 € on the table relatively quickly. And just like in the movies, a successful launch naturally attracts further sequels. So far, the Cryptostamp 2.0, 3.0 and now 3.1 have been released. I myself have a motif of each series except the 1.0, unfortunately only in the most common color black. But also here I am sure that the prices will increase in the next years.
And now Swiss Post has also started its own Crypto Stamp project. On Nov. 25, the first Swiss Crypto Stamp will be launched at a price of 8.90 francs. Edition 175,000 pieces with 13 different motifs. Depending on the motif, the editions vary between 65,000 and 50 pieces. Good luck to the one who gets hold of one of the 50 pieces! I would bet that this will be a good value investment. But we will see. I will at least try to order a few pieces online on issue day. Let's see if I have any luck. As an old stamp collector from my youth, I find the topic of Crypto Stamps extremely exciting and will definitely stick around and collect a few. Maybe there will be a renaissance of stamp collecting? Who knows, the clothes from the 80s are also just coming back strongly. Time will tell.
