Project Azorian: CIA covert operation to capture Soviet submarines
It was November 1989. Curtis Crook, an engineering officer at Global Marine Shipbuilding Company, was in an emergency meeting. He was in charge of the engineering department of the company. During the meeting, three strangers rushed into Crook's room.
He looked at them with a little annoyed eyes. “What a strange thing, Dad! What do they want again in the middle of the meeting! ”, These are the words he may have said in his mind that day.Little did he know, however, that the three men were, in fact, from the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency).

One of the three was a senior CIA official named John Parangsky. He told Crook directly about the CIA's demand for a "thing" to be lifted from a few thousand feet deep in the sea. And for this job, CIA thinks Global Marine is the most qualified company, Crook is considered the most qualified person!
After talking to them, Curtis Crook sat alone in his room. “What people say! Bring up so many heavy things from below! Is this even possible! ”
Thinking about all this, this man, who is experienced in shipbuilding, was doing some calculations in his head. Then he picked up a book, turned the page and went to the page containing information about the Soviet submarine. He smiled a little. Accounts matched! No one can even think of the demands made by the CIA, it can only be found in stories and movies. But Crook calculates, it's possible. This can only be done by flesh and blood people!
But what is that?
That is why we have to leave a couple of years ago, in February 1986. The Soviet diesel-electric submarine K-129 carrying three ballistic nuclear missiles was traveling in the North Pacific Ocean. Suddenly all kinds of signals from the submarine stopped coming. Absolutely out of the network! After much searching, the Soviet authorities found no trace of the K-129. As a result, they left the hull and came back.
The Soviets returned, but did not return to America! Why is America coming here again? Tell me why it will not come! Because, they too, through intelligence surveillance, realized that their opponents had lost something very important during this time of the Cold War. And they could have guessed that it was a submarine like K-129.
Immediately a noise fell on the upper floor. The talks began in Washington DC. Will America be able to find this submarine? If found, is it possible to bring it back from the sea floor? Once the submarine is lifted, the Soviet Union's K-129 construction technology, three ballistic missiles, nuclear warheads and state-of-the-art cryptography gear will be in America's hands. So they did not want to miss this opportunity.
The Soviet authorities had to go back because they did not have the technology needed to locate the submarine. But America was ahead again. The advanced country in science had just that technology. After several weeks of searching over an area of about 1,500 miles with the help of the USS Hallibut, the lost submarine of the Soviet Union was found 3 miles below sea level.
