Assalamu alaikum. How are you my steemian friends. I am good at your prayers. The Steemit Health community is back to us with a beautiful contest. The main topic of this Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 8 Week 3 is "Smoking Kills!" A very important issue is smoking. Smoking is a social disease today. Today I will present with you the detailed description about smoking through this contest.
Smoking, Inhaling, and Exhaling Smoke from Burning Plant Material A variety of plant materials are smoked, including marijuana and hashish, but this law usually involves smoking tobacco in cigarettes, cigars, or pipes. Smoking destroys the tiny air sacs or alveoli in the lungs that allow for oxygen exchange. When you smoke, you cause some damage to those air sacs.
Smoking cigarettes is bad for health. As the leading cause of preventable death and disease in the United States, cigarette smoking accounts for more than 480,000 deaths annually. Smoker are lives in 10 years less on average than non-smokers. Today, over 16 million Americans live with diseases caused by smoking. Whenever the urge to smoke comes, remind yourself: you don't need cigarettes, your life will be better without them - over time, a greater desire to stop harming your body will arise.
People have different reasons why they started smoking in the first place, even about the health risks involved. We'll discuss five common reasons why people smoke and keep smoking.
5 Reasons why people become Addicted to Smoking :
Influence of parents : A parent's relationship is essential for a child who is still growing. Therefore, when a child grows up in a home where they regularly see their parents smoke, the child is twice as likely to start smoking as a child raised by nonsmokers.
Peer Pressure : Anyone who has gone through adolescence will be acutely aware of the social and emotional struggles it can be for a teen to fit in at school or be considered "cool." . Also, the younger you are when you start smoking, the more likely you will become addicted to nicotine. However, peer pressure is not limited to teenagers.
Genetic Factors : A study found that co-dependence on drugs can be genetic. Studies have linked addiction to nicotine, the active ingredient in tobacco products such as cigarettes. However, it is important to note that studies implicating genetics in addiction do not automatically imply that a gene for addiction has been passed on.
Causing Stress : Some people start smoking to get rid of stress and some people succumb to stress and become regular smokers, even if they initially smoked only because of the sedative effects of cigarette nicotine.
The Influence of the Mass Media : A large number of characters in films are smokers, which may lead teenagers to believe that smoking is desirable and normal.
I am a Muslim. Smoking is prohibited in Islam. That's why I never smoke. Also no one in my family has ever been addicted to smoking. But I know what a change in the life of someone addicted to smoking. Changes in a person's life and health after addiction are as follows:
Smoking causes long-term diseases such as increase in body temperature, inflammation, burning etc.
Smoking can cause Multiple Sclerosis or brain and spinal cord problems.
Chronic sinusitis or long term nasal infections occur.
Causes of hypertension.
Smoking causes cancer of lung, bladder, kidney, vocal tract.
There is a possibility that the arteries connected to the heart become blocked.
Suffer from Heart Attack.
Smoking Multifold the risk of rheumatoid arthritis.
A person who smokes is considered an abomination by the country and society.
To reduce the rate of smoking addiction we should change the habits of those who are addicted. Dissemination of the dangers of smoking. We have to take initiatives to increase the health awareness of society. I have presented some useful tips to you to get rid of smoking addiction.
Make a commitment to quit smoking today. Throw the pack of cigarettes on the table or in the dustbin.
Try not smoking for a day. Then try experiencing the difference. Stay away from smoking for two or three days thereafter. Then the habit will develop.
Connect with quitters around you. Learn about changes in their health.
Take a look at how much you spend every month on cigarettes or tobacco products? After calculation it will be easier for you to quit smoking. Saving that money can be spent in other sectors.
Avoid being with your smoking friends.
You can chew gum or ginger in your mouth after you quit smoking. Then the attraction to smoking will reduce.
Walking down the street when you feel like smoking. You will see that your mind will be diverted to the other side.
Keep away from any smoking corner.
You can also read anti-smoking and health awareness books.
If you are frustrated, you can consult a doctor for counseling.

@shiftitamanna, without a doubt Cigarettes are the cause of many diseases that influence cancer worldwide.
Where millions of people are addicted to cigarette smoking.
In addition, it is a social problem since it starts today from a very early age, since children and adolescents smoke even in schools.
Encouraged by other classmates who tell them and comment on the benefits of smoking, they quickly fall into that addiction due to their immaturity.
Like children who have smoking parents, most follow the example of their parents.
Coupled with the constant cigarette advertising, these are the three factors for people to enter the world of cigarette smoking.
After the person becomes addicted to cigarette smoking, it is uphill to quit, although not impossible.
Some of the steps to quit smoking, as you say, is to stay away from people who consume cigarettes to avoid anxiety.
Awareness books about the harm of tobacco is also a good tool that can be used.
And the best for me to understand is willpower, since without it, what we try to quit smoking will be lost in time.
Thank you for the invitation, I say goodbye wishing you have a happy day.
