The smoke of cigarettes causes to bind Tar in the lungs. Long-time smoking can cause lung cancers. Wounds caused by the harmful tar cause cancers later. So this is severe damage to the person who is smoking. And also if the people around the smoker inhale the smoke that is released by the smoker it is also affects the lungs. That is why it is said that it is not good to stay near a smoker eventhough you don't smoke you will be subjected to lung deseases.
