What are the names of traditional medicines in your country that you know? |

In Nigeria there are varieties of Traditional medicines I cannot even pronounce the names because of how most of them are called in other part of the country, Nigeria. Although, some of the traditional medicine that I know best to the extent that I can prepare them well are names below.
- Agbo Jedi-jedi (Scented-leaves)
- Agbo iba (Bark of pineapple.
- Oroki herbal mixture.
Agbo Jedi-jedi is the traditional medicine that is very common in Nigeria. The traditional medicine is a combination of Antimalarial properties, Antidiabetics properties, pain relief etc.

The traditional medicine called Agbo Jedi-jedi is the traditional medicine recipe that I know very well. This traditional medicine is very powerful, incurring illness such as:
- Antimalarial
- Antidiabetic
- Pain relief
- Skin infections
- Erectile dysfunction
Although, when treating any of the illness mentioned above, you have to ensure that it is the right herbs that you're using. In this case, I have shared the recipe that is use for treating Antimalarial Properties.

Looking at the image above, is the necessary traditional medicine recipe for treating Antimalarial in a local way. Now at this point that you have gotten all the necessary recipes ready. The steps below will guide you through in making the traditional medicine ready for drinking.
Step1: Clean all the traditional leaves with water and out inside pot.
Step2: Once you have put all the leaves inside your cooking pot, add small quantity of water into it.
Step3: After adding water, cover and allow it to cook very well for about 2 - 3 hours before bringing it down from the fire.

Every medicine have it own benefits and in terms of traditional medicine like Agbo Jedi-jedi the benefits are as follows:
Stops Infection
Lemon grass, Mango leaves and Dogoyaro leaves are good plants that can stop infection and also Antimalarial. Thrush, is a fungal illness that frequently affects persons with compromised immune systems, of which Agbo Jedi-jedi cure.
Agbo Jedi-jedi help in treating Antimalarial and other diseases like:
- Treating of Fever
- Treating of Malaria
- Treating of Common col
- Treating of Convulsions etc.
In my country, Nigeria, about 43% of the population most especially parents make use of Agbo plants in treating of the aforementioned illness. Just as in my case, I have used the Agbo plants in preparing traditional medicine that can cure (fight) the diseases above.

Yes, there are some negative effects from taking Agbo Jedi-jedi. However, people believe that taking Agbo Jedi-jedi can cure some aliments and can also clean body system, which is very good. But the side effects are that if it's not prepared in the best way or and hygienic way it should be prepared, it can lead to liver damage and kidney failure.

You hve prepared Agbo Jedi-jedi traditional medicine. I was feeling elhaoy to know a simple herb has lot of health benefits.
As you told us it can be used in malaria, infection, erectile dysfunction and pain relief so this traditional medicine is not kesz than a miracle for people who didn't know its value for health.
