✅01)-What are the names of traditional medicines in your country that you know?

Patharkuchi leaf juice is known as a traditional herbal medicine in all regions of Bangladesh. Its herbal properties are used in the treatment of various complex and difficult diseases of humans and animals. Patharkuchi plant is a perennial with green leaves. Its herbal name: Kalanchoe pinnata Pers. New shoots are born from the grooves of the leaves. If the leaves of this plant are left on the ground, new seedlings are born from them. One of the special features of this plant is that it grows from the leaves. The leaves of Patharkuchi are known as 'bryophyll' in the scientific world. Patharkuchi is also called “Miracle Leaf” due to its many medicinal properties. Juice is extracted from its leaves and some other ingredients are mixed with this juice to make this traditional medicine.

✅02)-Please share with us a traditional medicine recipe that you know, then write down the steps for making it?

First of all, a few leaves should be plucked from the Patharkuchi tree and washed well, so that there is no dirt.

Then a fine sieve should be used to blend the leaves. A blender can be used to do this but I have used the traditional village seal patta here.

Then the leaves should be beaten very well.

Then apply these blended leaves on any cut or bruised area to relieve the pain. Or this is how it can be eaten.

Then the bladed leaves should be strained.

Then add light sugar to it and shake it with a spoon, our traditional medicine will be ready.

✅03)-What are the uses (benefits) of these traditional medicines?

The medicine prepared from the juice of Patharkuchi leaves is used in the treatment of various diseases and for ages it is known as a traditional medicine to cure various diseases.

In removing kidney stones:

Calendula leaves help in removing kidney and goiter stones. Chewing 2-3 leaves twice a day removes stones.

To cure flatulence and polyuria:

In case of flatulence and polyuria, take one or two teaspoons of the juice of Patharkuchi leaves mixed with sugar, it will make the urine liquid, expel half of the air, and reduce flatulence.

Meh:

Cold causes boils in various parts of the body. Which is called meh. In this case, taking a spoonful of Patharkuchi leaf juice in the morning and afternoon for a week is beneficial.

Skin Care & Reduces Irritation:

Calendula leaves contain a lot of water which is very beneficial for the skin. It has immediate anti-inflammatory properties. A paste of this leaf also cures acne and pimples.

Prevention of Piles, Jaundice and Liver Diseases:-

Mixing red pepper with the juice of Patharkuchi leaves gives relief from piles and hemorrhoids and jaundice. Fresh Patharkuchi leaves and its juice are very useful to prevent any liver problems.

Also cures stomach ache, headache, gall bladder bleeding, cuts and bruises.

✅04)-Are there any negative effects from it? If so, please state anything?

Proper use of this traditional medicine does not have many side effects, but excessive use can cause some negative effects:

1)Consuming too much crushed leaf juice can spoil the taste in the mouth.

2)Excessive consumption of stonecrop juice can cause various stomach problems. For example: cholera, diarrhoea.

3)Gallbladder problems may occur.

4)Loss of appetite may occur.

Hola amiga, me encanto leer tu post, definitivamente, aprendí mucho más sobre esta planta medicinal.

Te cuento que aqui en venezuela, esa planta la conocemos como: Hojas Colombiana. Y entre los usos populares, que en mi región le damos como medicina natural está:

Si se cocina un poco las hojas, se le extrae el líquido y ayuda aliviar, el dolor de oído, quizás por sus propiedades antiinflamatorias que nos compartiste.
También la usamos, en conjunto con la hoja de orégano, para realizar un te caliente, para la gripa.

Verdaderamente, esta plata posee muchas propiedades y gracias a tu post, aprendí mucho más de ella.
