Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 8 Week 2: My Traditional Medicine
Hello everyone, how are you doing, I hope everyone is doing great. I welcome you to week 2 season 8 of the engagement challenge in the STEEMIT HEALTH community, and here I shall be participating in the contest discussion of "My Traditional Medicine".
The Popular traditional medicine in Nigeria is known as 7up and the bark of the Akintola tree, this combination is majorly used to treat malaria. Malaria is one of the most deadly diseases that often happens to AA and it is caused by a mosquito bite.
The disease is most common in Nigeria, and traditional medicine such as Akintola and 7up has been used as an alternative treatment for it instead of drugs. 7up and Akintola are used to form a combination of local herbs, which include the bark of the Akintola tree and the popular soft drink known as 7up.
Preparing this traditional medicine is a simple step and doesn't require much effort.
Step 1 - You First need to peel the bark of the Akintola tree and then sun-dry it for a few days until it is completely dried up.
Step 2 - When the bark is dried up, put the herbs in a plastic container and add 7up to it, then allow it to soak for a day or two. After this, traditional medicine is ready for use.
It is majorly important to let the bark soak deeply in the 7up, then you can also consume it in the later future by changing the drinks, it is more effective when it's been soaked up for a week.
There are a lot of benefits of 7up and Akintola herbs.
1 - It has always been used for ages to treat malaria, and many believed it has anti-malaria properties and is fast and more effective than the malaria drugs itself.
2 - The combination is also used for flushing out toxins or dirty blood cells in the body. This traditional medicine is also very effective in treating other illnesses, such as fever, stomach ache, and others.
Although I sort of believe that this traditional medicine is generally safe for consumption, still, it is important to be cautious when using any traditional medicine, the drugs are major effective for curing malaria and flushing toxins.
I will advise that users also seek medical advice from a certified healthcare professional before using this traditional medicine, especially someone who has bad health conditions or someone who quickly reacts to drug usage.
Unfortunately, I don't have a selfie of this, but I still intend to participate in sharing the knowledge regardless, I only make this medicine when I am on sickness or have been dissected with malaria, other than that, I don't often keep it around, Thank You.
Traditional medicine has been an important part of Nigerian culture, and the Yoruba tribe in particular has the richest traditional medicine. The 7up and Akintola bark is traditional medicine and is a popular treatment for treating malaria and other illnesses as I had mentioned above.
